Who are the best power running backs in this draft? Whether it'd be a fullback/runningback tweener it doesn't matter. I'd like to know what you guys think.

Matt Forte, Jacob Hester, and BenJarvus Green-Ellis immediately come to mind. Forte is probably the best "power running back" in the draft; whereas, Hester and Green-Ellis are a couple of good ones who can be had in the later rounds.

I really like Forte too, but I don't see him being that power running back that Mularkey had in Pittsburgh. Ofcourse, another Bus is hard to come by, but is it just me or does Forte look a little small/skinny to be a productive power back in the NFL?

Forte isn't really a pounding back, despite his size. He's a good inside runner, but he's not going to be punishing defenders in the NFL. Stewart is probably the hardest to bring down. Hester is probably the most damaging. Darren McFadden is going to lay some defensive backs out with a full head of steam. Cory Boyd is probably an underrated power back.

Jehuu Caulcrick, Brandon McAnderson, Rolly Lumbala, Tim Hightower, Jalen Parmele, Ryan Torain, Keon Lattimore, Lance Ball, Micah Andrews, BenJarvus Green-Ellis..

I think Cory Boyd is a bit underrated. More likely to run through arm tackles than much else but he's still tough to bring down..

Tashard Choice... Not fast, but a quick first step and he's like a bowling ball.

For his size I think Georgias Thomas Brown is a hellaciously hard runner.

Sticking with the consensus here on Forte. Improved his draft stock dramatically as well with his senior bowl performance. Likely a 3rd round pick now.

I also think, though a fullback, that Owen Schmitt could be a very sucessful runner at the next level and he'd be a devastating power back.

Forte. He also has the most upside of all the pure powerbacks mentioned.

I dont know if I would term Kevin Smith a "power back"... but he is one of the harder backs to get on the ground due to his balance and leg drive...

As I have always said Forte > Smith

Forte is a complete back who can run with power so I would put him #1
