Wierdest storm last night

I live in NE Iowa therefor we're very prone for snow but anyways we are in a Winter Storm Warning until Sunday at 6, and are expected to get 15 inches of snow and upto an inch of ice to top it off. Anyways last night it dumbed a good two inches on us and then after that it started thundering and lightning during the snow storm! Is that not a rare occasion or what!? THUNDER AND LIGHTNING DURING A SNOW STORM.

Yeah, it was pretty crazy here in SE Minnesota as well. We had thunder and lightning all night and got a foot dumped on us.
