View Full Version : The Consensus Mock Draft

I used 7 different mock drafts including Scotts and those of 6 other web sites (that I will not divulge as per forum rules) using a 5 step method I made a consensus pick

1. If every draft has a player (A) taken at that point regardless of how many drafts have another player (B) taken at that spot Player A gets drafted.

2. If not rule 1 then the player drafted at that position/team in the most drafts is the pick.

3. In the result of a tie the player drafted higher the most times is the pick.

4. If #3 ends in a tie I then go to the number of times the position was taken. (IE 3 DEs were taken but only 2 were Long and 1 QB was taken and that was Ryan)

5. If that ends up being a tie I use personal judgement.

Explain Talib to Houston because I have never seen that pick before.

HATE Baltimore's pick. Give us Leodis or Jenkins. Okay Houston pick, but Mendenhall might fulfills a much bigger need. I'll take DeSean Jackson as well, but Talib is okay.

Duanta Robinson is out until about the halfway mark of next season. Besides Fred Bennett we have no starter quality corner. When Duanta does comeback, we still need depth in the position. A corner line-up of a healthy Robinson-Bennett-Talib would be great.

Explain Talib to Houston because I have never seen that pick before.

Houston was one of the most diverse picks of this draft.

To break it down

1 vote for each of the following players

Kenny Phillips (taken)
DRC
Reggie Smith
G. Cherilus
Talib
2 votes Stewart (taken)

So I went to looking at which player got taken first in each mock and Talib won 6 - 1 - 1 -1

Note all of the drafts I used were updated in the month of February.

Love the Vernon "Goldstein" pick.

You don't like my Leodis "McLovin" pick?

HATE Baltimore's pick. Give us Leodis or Jenkins. Okay Houston pick, but Mendenhall might fulfills a much bigger need. I'll take DeSean Jackson as well, but Talib is okay.

Personally I hate the Brohm Pick as well but 4 or 7 put him there where as 1 had Matt Ryan(gone) 1 had Goldston(gone) and the last had Jenkins.

interesting idea and it led to a good consensus bears pick.

and screw you atlanta and baltimore, i would have hated to see the bears pick if you guys didnt go the way you did....kidding....somewhat.

i like both of dallas's picks if kelly and jones are both still there. they can pick up a good fa corner or a decent one in the second! but recievers are kinda deep so if r. smith is still there i may take him b/c of his diversity he can play cb/s/ and was a good pr in college.

eh, henne...i dont like him. too much like an inch taller grossman. we dont need that again...we still have the original rex!

id prefer, if it had to be QB, woodson who goes just a few picks later...

or devin thomas. hes my #1 WR now, to pick him up there would be fan-fword-tastic
