my first mock of the year, leave some comments !!
got a little tired doing second round so some things might not be perfect
1. Miami Dolphins- Chris Long, DE, Virginia
The Dolphins need to infuse some talent onto their defense line, a big weak spot on their team. Parcells drafting offense? I don't see it.
2. St. Louis Rams- Vernon Gholston, DE Ohio St.
Dorsey or Ellis is a consideration, but the Rams have some talent at the DT position rotation.
3. Atlanta Falcons - Matt Ryan QB Boston College
I think that Arthur Blank might have a lot of influence on this pick a la Tennessee with Vince Young a few years back. With the falcons picking third, they are paying a lot of money in this slot and it'd make financial sense on a QB.
4. Oakland Raiders - Glenn Dorsey DT LSU
The Raider's DT situation is a mess. Not anymore.
5. Kansas City Chiefs- Jake Long, OT, Michigan
Instant Offensive line help.
6. New York Jets- Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas
Thomas Jones will be 29 this year and was not anything special the previous year. This situation looks eerily similiar to Adrian Peterson.
7. New England Patriots (via SF) - Keith Rivers, ILB, USC
8. Baltimore Ravens - Sedrick Ellis, DT, USC
Ravens usually go best player available, and Kelly Gregg is getting older. Ngata and Ellis would compliment each other great and would enormous potential.
9. Cincinnati Bengals - Derrick Harvey DE Florida
A dynamic passrusher would really help their young corners.
10. New Orleans Saints - Leodis McKelvin CB Troy
Jason David just has not cut it as a #2 cornerback. He is a young player and hopefully he will work out at in nickel and dime packages. Leodis can step in across McKenzie and eventually be McKenzie's future replacement.
11. Buffalo Bills - Dan Connor WLB Penn St.
The Bills loved Poz before he got injured. They get a healty version of Poz at WLB.
12. Denver Broncos- Ryan Clady OT Boise St.
The Broncos could go a number of directions here, but go with a tackle that fits their scheme well.
13. Carolina Panthers - Chris Williams LT Vanderbilt
14. Chicago Bears - Brian Brohm, QB, Louisville
15. Detroit Lions - Mike Jenkins CB USF
I don't see many starting quality corners on their roster, do you Millen?
16. Arizona Cardinals - Jeff Otah OT Pittsburgh
This team is getting serious about rebuilding that offensive line. Grimm could mold Otah into something special.
17. Minnesota Vikings - Quentin Groves DE Auburn
Groves would be a great end to get as much pressure on the QB as possible.
18. Houston Texans - Reshard Mendenhall, RB, Illinois
Mendenhall would take the Texans running game to a whole nother level.
19. Philadelphia Eagles - Kenny Philips, S, Miami (Fl)
Dawkins will turn 35 this year and could be eyeing retirement soon. Philips can play opposite Dawkins early in his career and eventually be his future replacement.
20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Calais Campbell DE Miami
Gaines Adams and Campbell would make an elite DE duo.
21. Washington Redskins - Limas Sweed WR Texas
A big wide receiver that would complement Randle El and Moss well with Brandon Lloyd gone. Sweed answered all questions at his combine with his 4.4 speed.
22. Dallas Cowboys (via CLE)- Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie CB Tenn. St.
23. Pittsburgh Steelers - Brandon Albert OG Virginia
24. Tennessee Titans - Malcolm Kelly WR Oklahoma
25. Seattle Seahawks - Jonathan Stewart RB Oregon
The Seahawks running game needs a power runner.
26. Jacksonville Jaguars - Philip Merling DE Clemson
27. San Diego Chargers- Reggie Smith, FS/CB, Oklahoma
28. Dallas Cowboys - Desean Jackson WR California
29. San Francisco 49ers - Kentwan Balmer DT North Carolina
30. Green Bay Packers - Antoine Cason CB Arizona
31. New York Giants - Shawn Crable SLB Michigan
