I just wanted to post what i thought would be my Ideal 'Phins draft. I'd also like everyone else on here to post what their ideal draft would be for the Dolphins. What players would be ideal fits for our team and which ones you think Parcells will be targeting with our picks. Try to keep it realistic. I know we have gone over this before, but think long and hard about this one to come up with something good. Something that, when the draft is over, you would say WOW! This should be interesting!

My Ideal Draft:

1.) Chris Long, DE/OLB, Virginia
2a.) Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona
2b.) John Carlson, TE, Notre Dame
3.) Chilo Rachal, OG, USC
4.) Frank Okam, NT, Texas
6.) J Leman, ILB, Illinois
7.) Amarri Jackson, WR, USF

Also let me know what you guys think about mine! I think each of those guys would be a PERFECT fit.

Tough to do pre free agents, trade down or knowing what the Jason Taylor situation is...

Ideal draft w/no trades...
1 - Vernon Gholston
2 - Gosder Cherilus
2b-Ahtyba Rubin
3- Earl Bennett
4- Duane Brown
6- Jack Ikegwuonu
7- Andrew Crummey

The last 2 are major injury risks, but with this being a long rebuild, worth the gamble. Both would have been gone by round 3 if healthy.

Again, I would like to see what happens starting on Friday before I make actual predictions.......

1. Chris Long OLB UVA
I've liked him here as an OLB for a while, combine added even more to that. Option 2 is Matt Ryan.
2. Devin Thomas WR Michigan State
Not really sure who's gonna be here at WR, hoping Thomas falls, maybe it's Hardy or Kelly, I'd like to look WR here though. Another option would be Flacco for me, big fan, project type so Beck would get his chance, I'd much rather have the problem of having 2 QBs than none. TE is also a consideration, Davis/Bennett. DT is also a though, though I hope someone falls.
2. Curtis Lofton LB Oklahoma
Don't really buy he last this long, but Scott has him here in the mock so I'll bite, since it is "ideal." Thumper to play next to Crowder inside, really rebuilds the LB corps quick. DT is another option, I'd love to add Dre Moore, Rubin is a thought as well, as is Marcus Harrison if you buy him as a nose (not sure I do).
3. Andre Woodson QB Kentucky
Bit of an oddball pick, but if he does fall to the third I'd bite, didn't really see another option here I loved. Maybe DB, does Patrick Lee fall? Maybe Molden or Jamar Adams. TE is a thought with Cottam/Stevens as well.
4. Barry Richardson OT Clemson
I'm a big Richardson fan, doesn't always live up to the potential but he's shown enough flashes for me to bite in the 4th. Langford gets a look here as well, maybe TE (Stevens/Santi) or OG (Rinehart/Felton)
6. Chris Horton S UCLA
I'm a HUGE fan of this guy, I haven't heard much buzz around him, probably a 5/6 guy so I'll go with him here. Ran a good time (4.59) so may go a bit higher, but he's a great in the box SS and good enough in coverage.
7. Ian Cunningham/Adam Kraus/Frank Morton/Jameel McClain/Bernard Morris
Basically just some late round guys I'd like to add.

That would also be very nice... I would be pretty ecstatic with that. Just Kenny and Vernon would make my Draft. Then add in Rachal, Rubin, and Richardson.... Wow.

I would hate Jake Long at number 1, but Kenny in the 2nd would almost completely make up for it. Then Brohm would piss me off again...

The only QB we take in round 2 will be Flacco...mark it down. Probably with the 33rd pick...
