Anyone seen it? Worth seeing it? I overheard two guys conversations and they said it was "different."

I haven't seen it but it's rated higher than Hannibal and Red Dragon

Actually, it got much worse reviews than Hannibal and Red Dragon.

Yeah, I heard it sucked from about 5 different people. 2 of which were avid, Hannibal fans.

I had just purchased the book and a few days later I saw the trailer for the films. So I eagerly read the book; it was kinda dull and seemed like it was slopped together. I felt like I was reading a script, actually.

Anyways, I saw the movie he first day it came out and thought it was awesome. If you are a big Hannibal fan or have read the book, I'm sure you will love it; or find it extremely interesting at the very least. Otherwise you might find it pointless....

Agreed and the original film with that CSI guy was good too.

I liked that movie, except it didn't really focus much on Hannibal. I did like the CSI guy as Will Graham though.

But once Anthony Hopkins took over as Hannibal, it took off. Hopkins made that author rich.

Yeah it definately gained cred with Hopkins and Jodie Foster. But its just creepy stuff - imagine that in real life. Thomas Harris is either a complete phsyco or knows a complete phsyco

I believe he covered forensics and crimes as a reporter before he became an author, so that could help explain it.

The only reason I saw it is because I got a free ticket to see it.

Do NOT see this movie. It lives up to and probably exceeds it's bad reputation.

The guy that plays Hannibal is a terrible terrible actor. And the writing is ugly.

My favourite line:
"Memory is like a knife. It can hurt you."

I think they stole that from a 5th graders poetry assignment.

I enjoyed the movie.

It explains everything and I couldn;'t help but understand and sympathize with Hannibal why he does what he does.

I am an avid Hannibal fan and enjoyed the movie a lot.

The actor who plays Hannibal is amazing IMO. It's also his first American film.

He has a new movie coming out where he plays a psychotic killer. Looks to be a good one too.

I hear it was horrible and a disgrace to the series.
