View Full Version : My second mock draft (1 round)

03-04-2008, 05:49 AM
This time Jeff Otah has made his way out of the first round due to questionable work ethic, stffness, slowness etc. A DB-crowded bunch for sure, but thats a position lots of teams feel confident about taking.
Ryan's slipping all the way down to 13 since no teams dare to draft first round QB nowadays, and Panthers don't really have any future prospects (sorry I'm not sold on Matt Moore at all). Ravens pass on him since they're excited about Troy Smith who's shown he can be a factor among the pros already. Sedrick Ellis could definitelty fall a little, but the Raiders should be a little sensible here since RB is a high-risk pick (even with McFadden), and they should work on their DL.

1. Miami Dolphins, Chris Long DE
2. St. Louis Rams, Jake Long OT
3. Atlanta Falcons, Glen Dorsey DT
4. Oakland Raiders, Sedrick Ellis DT
5. Kansas City Chiefs, Ryan Clady OT

7. New England Patriots, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie CB
8. Baltimore Ravens , Vernon Gholston DE

22. Dallas Cowboys, Rashard Mendenhall RB
23. Pittsburgh Steelers, Branden Albert OG
24. Tennessee Titans, DeSean Jackson WR
25. Seattle Seahawks, Jonathan Stewart RB
26. Jacksonville Jaguars, Devin Thomas WR
27. San Diego Chargers, Gosder Cherilus OT
28. Dallas Cowboys, Mike Jenkins CB
29. San Francisco 49'ers,Calais Campbell DE
30. Green Bay Packers, Brandon Flowers CB
31. New York Giants, Antoine Cason CB

Cason is highly publicized by New York as an interest for the giants, but he's more of a 2nd round corner, and on NFLN they said the giants had the same grade on him as Aqib Talib, which should be a second round grade as well.

smart chargers pick.

There are only two picks that I could see going differently in this mock, the Chargers and Giants, but this is a very good first round, with an even better Eagles pick, considering the situation. A+.

Don't like the vikings reach

03-04-2008, 07:45 AM
I can't imagine any scenario in which the Patriots pass Vernon Gholston.

I'd rather KC take Gholston then reach for Clady

Do me a favor and have the Bears trade up for Otah right now thanks. and I like the Williams pick.

you have got to be kidding Jackson over Harvey?? theres no way in hell the vikes take him at 17 when there is a good chance that he is there in round 2. Besides if Harvey is there he is a lock anyways.

JACKSON OVER HARVEY? If we has taking at 32 it would be a reach. Being taken at 17 is an even bigger reach. Being taken over Harvey is both insane and will never happen.

Great Miami pick!!

I like Sweed a little bit more than Kelly.
I'd be fine with Kelly though.
