tracy porter in the 2nd round makes up for a mediocre at best 1st round pick for the Giants

Nice overall Eagles mock. Sweed is the best possible choice for us in this situation in the first, and there really aren't any Safeties or OT worth this pick, so Rachal is alright for us. This would free up space to put Herremans at the RT position down the road.

would rather see them get smith over balmer

Good 1st for Baltimore. Give us Erin Henderson or Antonie Cason in the 2nd.
Okay 1st for Houston.

Very good Vikes draft, love both picks.

Very good Bucs mock. I'd like to see Campbell in the 1st, but Jenkins is fine even though I doubt we spend a first on a Cover 2 corner.

Terrible picks for the Saints. Henderson would be a backup to Vilma and Aqib Talib is overrated to me.

give us Balmer instead of Calais Campbell....

id prefer balmer over merling at this point. i think both have their share of risks but i like balmers upside more and he fits the kind of penetrating DT that blache said hes looking for. not a fan of the doucet pick in rd 2, especially with flowers and porter on the board.

I like the Raiders first round, but you should give them Pat Simms in the 2nd round.

Also liking the Raiders first though second rounder could be used on the best OT available which is a bigger need imo.

Patrick Lee is a good pick, but Lawrence Jackson makes no sense for us, he is a base 4-3 end, that's it. And I hate the Jake Long pick. D grade for that one.

I don't see the Packers addressing the secondary with their first two picks but I'm interested in Tony Hills

why do Giants fans hate Connor?

LB isn't a need for us, especially not a 1st rounder. He's too slow to play outside for us and I feel he's better off as a MLB in the NFL, and we're set with Pierce

Spot-on pick in the first, but give us Fred Davis in the second round.

Because he is not flashy...they tend to forget that he would be an improvement over any of there OLB's at the minute, especially if Kiwanuka is moved back to DE.

Id prefer Devin Thomas over Desean Jackson, Thomas can take over as a #1 wr where as jackson will be a #2 at best and we have plenty of those wrs.

I dont think its so much that, but they lost all their safeties, its probably just a bigger need to fill that position then it is someone on their front 7...and you want to use your 1st rd pick on a bigger need.

Connor is just not a good fit for this defense

The Giants are in need of depth at the LB position mainly in my opinion because I, just like the front office, have faith in Gerris Wilkinson. Dan Connor is more of a MLB type and is very simillar to two players that we already have on the LB roster; Chase Blackburn and Zak Deossie. Both are young and haven't gotten a real chance. LB isn't a first round need. Another reason for this would be looking at the Philadelphia Eagles history with LB's. Spags comes from the Jimmy Johnson mold and learned under him for years. The Eagles never invest big money or draft picks on LB's and always get away with it. Spags is somewhat doing a similar thing here but we already have the personnel we need at LB.

And Dan Connor would not be able to fill in for Mitchell becaus he is not as quick or as good in coverage or pass rushing. Conor struggles in coverage and is very one dimensional as a pass rusher which are two main responsibillities for a LB in this system

2 picks on offense for the lions... But since both positions are huge needs and we get my favourite player in the draft in Mendenhall, I cannot complain. Does leave a lot of holes on the D to fix... but hell we're like swiss cheese.

You're obviously following the team needs sheet for the Packers. I am not understanding why Scott thinks safety is our no. 2 need...as a Packer fan I disagree. I thought Atari Bigby played well, especially as the season progressed. Did he watch the Seahawks game? With that said I say unless an elite safety fell to us in round 2 there is absolutely no way we take one.

I think its more likely we target a TE or a OLB. With the release of Bubba Franks, we really have no one to rely on behind Donald Lee. Plus our system requires two TE sets in some situations. As for needing an OLB, Brady Poppinga is alright, but his pass coverage isn't. I think we at least try an find someone who will compete with him, we already have tried making some moves in free agency but haven't succeeded. Don't be surprised if the Packers take one early on. It will all depend on who falls to them.

unlike the other skins fan - I do like merling over Balmer in the first - but i have to agree that the second round should have been used on a CB
