With the 6th overall pick the New York Jets select Vernon Gholston OLB Ohio State

http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/7546/prodat0.jpg

Even with the addition of Pace, we felt that our LB core still needed an upgrade, starting this off-season it was one of the weakest parts of the team and now we have the players in place to have one of the best LB cores in the NFL, with Gholston, Pace & Harris

We fell we got the top CB in this draft and are very surprised that he lasted this long, he could eventually be a shutdown corner and fills our biggest need.

Vikings select Derrick Harvey DE

Houston Texans select ... Kenny Phillips, SS - Miami

Value is meh, but they gave Reeves a lot of money and most likely a starting job. Bennett can hold down the fort until Dunta comes off the PUP. I don't see to much playing time for a 1st round CB investment after week 6. I looked at RB, but a certain player's injury has me thinking differently. Chris Brown, Ahman Green, Darius Walker should be able to succeed in the ZBS. SS is a huge hole for the Texans.

With their 2 picks in round 1, back to back..

Cincy Selects:

http://www.mybearterritory.com/images/photos/DeSean_Jackson_1_OSU.jpg

DeSean Jackson, WR, California.

Yes he measured in about 3 inches shorter than everyone had hoped, and yes he was only 160-170lbs. But people use that to overlook his production.

He gives us an elite slot receiver to compliment at TJ Houshmanzadeh and Chris Henry. Add to it he also gives us a very talented Return Specialist. Something fairly prominent in the AFC North with Cribbs and Figurs.

Our 2nd pick:

http://i.a.cnn.net/si/multimedia/photo_gallery/0608/gallery.cfbpack10/images/cason.jpg

Antoine Cason, FS, Arizona

A 2ND CONSECUTIVE YEAR WITH A CORNER BACK!?!? Nope. We plan on moving Cason to FS. He's big, physical and extremely fast. We like the ballhawking corner skills to translate to FS. He gives us a 3rd corner on the fields at all time. With teams in the AFC it helps to have another ballhawk. Add to the fact that he allows us to have more time to generate pressure.

Thank You. Pittsburgh is on the clock.

With their first selection in the 2008 Entry draft the Pittsburgh Steelers Select:

http://media3.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/photo/2005/09/28/PH2005092802427.jpg

Brandon Albert, OG/T, Virginia

It's no secret that the Steelers need OL help. Albert could potentially all exterior OL positions and will start at LG as a Rookie.
