Really? Over Haynesworth?
Haynes is an amazing player, but his character isn't the kinda of one you'd want to build a franchise around. Griff isn't quite on the level of haynes talent wise. But he's still a fantastic player, and is a great leader to go along with it. He hasn't complained about anything despite what he's had to go through since he's gotten here, and worked hard at everything he's had to do. Haynes though is already b*tching about the offseason. How do you think he'd act on a team that's starting from scratch? He'll do what he did while the titans were doing just that. He'll complain, get lazy, and get hurt. He honestly wasn't even my 2nd choice.

Hines Ward is slowing.. Big time. He's not the reliable guy. Sure he's great for a big hit on a defensive player, but his knee's are going.

Holmes has the potential to be a great WR, but hasn't taken it to that next level yet. He was completely invisible in the games we needed him most.

Jared Gaither- huge potential at LT, plus we have nothing really that great on O.
Haloti Ngata- young and good with plenty of years left in the tank
Yamon Figurs- Electric returner.

Tony Romo, DeMarcus Ware and Nick Folk.

I'd go the same. Folk vs. Mcbriar is a tough one. Great kickers are harder to find, though.

So who has the best building blocks?

NE is pretty good.

O - Brady

D - Wilfork

The most important player on O and IMO the most important position to have in a 3-4.

Why not Colston? Young, talented, great receiver.

And yeah, Fujita. Sue me, I think I can improve over Charles Grant and Will Smith.

I would take a franchise QB over a great WR. Brees is only a few years older than Colston. Fujita will be 29 next month and is just a good, not great linebacker. Whatever you want though, it's your team.

i say detroit or houston

houston because a dominant de (mario) is more valuable than a dominant lb (sims)

and both have freaks at wr

I just don't see WR being that important in building a team, so anyone that has that as their top position on Offense has other issues they'd need to address. I would prefer to build my offense around (in this order): 1. QB 2. LT 3. RB

I'd take a solid, albeit not spectacular, QB that maybe makes 2-3 pro bowls over his entire career than a perennial Pro Bowl wide receiver any day of the week.

idk, look how moss affected brady and culpeppers stats

if you have someone that needs to be constantly double teamed, its an advantage and will help out the rest of your team

i dont think wr are in general more valuable but i do stand by that texans or lions combo have the strongest building blocks

Look how Brady affected Moss's stats. It goes both ways really. Moss was NOTHING in Oakland without a quarterback (granted his effort wasn't there either). Brady won three SBs without a wide receiver on his roster that would ever be cosidered elite.

Step by step building your team from scratch
Step 1- Find some good Olinemen in FA
So get Faneca and the best OT in FA
Step 2- Draft the best player who is not a QB
Dont throw a new QB into the fray, get a seasoned vet through FA and wait 2-3 years before you get a franchise QB. no use having a develop in bad circumstances
Step 3- Get lots of draft picks
Build a good young base

has alot to do with his potential, and how well he is playing at such a young age, nothing wrong with people picking him to start their team, how often do you find a young stud DE at 23 years old who is already dominant.
