Steelers Draft = Awesomeness!!!

I'm not a big fan of Merling, just because I don't think he's the pass rusher that we need, I would rather just go BPA with that scenario and take DRC or trade down.

I like the second round pick, brings in a challenger for Cook on the RT spot and can fill in at LT if McKinnie is suspended. However the only thing is he had some legal troubles, and Childress will not draft or sign people with those troubles. I think it's a solid pick though.

Not a bad Colts pick, at least it's a need, but I'd prefer the guy you gave to the Patriots a few picks down.

There is no way I could see JA taking Henne over Jonathan Stewart or Malcolm Kelly in the 2nd.

We gave them Ellis because I thought it would be good to bring some beef into that defense. I think Ellis is more complete player then Avril.

Smith at 30 - Ok, not my choice, but it makes sense.
Carlson at 56 - fine
Justin King at 60 - God awful

If this is how it went then Ted Thompson would have selected these players;
Jonathon Stewart
Calais Campbell
Justin King

btw why did you give us 2 CB?

Disagree on Ellis being a more complete player than Avril, but even if you do think that, it's pretty obvious that the Colts need to improve their pass rush judging by: A) Their sack totals last season B) Their complete lack of pressure on the QB in their playoff game against SD and C) Polian stating repeatedly that he wanted to improve the pass rush this offseason, citing the Giants' success with it as something he'd like to see from the Colts.

Smith could play FS or CB for you guys.

Great 1st rounder
Okay 2nd rounder. I think Antoine Cason fits the cover-2 better.

dan connor is hard to pass up

03-15-2008, 05:15 PM
yea taking Henne with Stewart and Kelly still on the board is a little ridiculous, there's about as much of a chance of that happening as Sexy Rexy throwing the ball away under pressure instead of as far as he can

Not so crazy about the Raiders mock especially passing on Long and McFadden.

I was gonna say Malcolm Kelly would be a better pick than Thomas but I see you have him dropping all the way to the 22nd pick in the 2nd round. Any reasons why? Still a good draft for us.

Vikes99ej

Groves is a better pick than Merling, however great Merling might be at stopping the run. Nicks is a so-so pick in the second round. I don't know if Childress will go after him, especially with these new character concerns popping up.

yay bears first rounder.

boo bears 2nd rounder. henne has no pro future as a starter, much less as a franchise QB. he will be a waste of a first day pick...book it

eh, from I hear St.Louis is set to pick Jake Long if Chris goes #1, and Atlanta seems to be leaning towards finding a QB in this draft but not in round one.

hines why would the skins consider passing on DRC to take a reach on hardy?!?! bad pick. cason in rd 2 is nice though but id much rather have drc in rd 1 or balmer even over hardy.

Merling is a great pick for the Vikings there at #17 and then getting Carl Nicks in the 2nd would be amazing.

good 1st pick for the niners. 2nd one is okay but i think nicks or dre moore would be better.

I wouldn't pass on DRC for Hardy. I like the Cason pick in the 2nd, but if we get DRC in the first, I'd like to see Calais Campbell in the second.

You don't know the Panthers' needs do you?

OT is a must within the first two rounds as is DT over DE.

03-16-2008, 06:39 PM
its an ok miami draft, would rather have Calais or Justin King there instead of Early Doucet in the 2nd, but I could live with that.

Love the 1st round pick for the Rams but the 2nd round pick not a big fan of Bubba, rather have Malcolm Kelly or Sam Baker

You have Jordan Gross and resigned your RT Wharton. I think you are set with a tackle for a little while.

Not the best for the Eagles. I would change the first to Phillips, and the second to Kelly, though I doubt he falls that far.
