My completed, super amazing Metal band:

BeerBaroness

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v613/BeerBaron/kirk_hammett_on_stage.jpg
Kirk Hammett - Lead Guitar - Metallica
-Voted the 11th greatest rock guitarist of all time by Rolling Stone and, according to many, is one of the greatest Metal guitarists there is.
-Notable for his harmonic solos, a few examples seen in the songs "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)", "Disposable Heroes," and "The Thing That Should Not Be"

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v613/BeerBaron/Petrucci_header1.jpg
John Petrucci - Guitarist - Dream Theater
-A few fantastic performances of his:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t25AOSxZZkI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5t_b9xOY-I
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=052kWFIjsuM
-Some say hes not enough of a shredder for metal, but listen to "Glass Prison" or maybe "As I Am" and tell me he cant play the heavy stuff with the best of em.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v613/BeerBaron/GeddyLee1.jpg
Geddy Lee - Bassist/Multi-Tasker extraordinare - Rush
-A good showing of his bass skills:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuMLIHatC9E
-Often plays bass, sings and works a keyboard or synthesizer all at once. Versatility at the max...like they say, the more you can do.....
-Might not be the best fit for a true metal band but his versatility makes him well worth the spot. Add to that an occasional use of his "I just took a huge hit of Helium" voice for effect and we have ourselves a good'n.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v613/BeerBaron/carey_d_720-500.jpg
Danny Carey - Drummer - Tool
-Decent clips:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUcdMva9RnQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAg5-zn_qeA
-Good all around metal drummer imo.
-Fascinated by the occult, Enochian symbols, geometric designs, and also has special symbolic percussive devices featured on and in his drum kit.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v613/BeerBaron/warrel01.jpg
Warrel Dane - Lead Singer/Songwriter - Nevermore
-Couple good quotes on my fav. Dane from No Life Till Metal:
"I do wonder sometimes though, if the lyrics really reflect Warrel Dane as a person, he must walk in a constant state of depression. Poor guy."
"Warrel Dane is a spaz on stage. At times I thought he was going into diabetic convulsions of something. I laugh every time I think of him singing "I feel so hollow" from "The Death of Passion.""
-Trained for 5 years as an opera singer and his teachers tried to convince him to stay away from metal. Thank god he didnt listen. Crazy range of vocals....

i dont have to wait, Josh Homme is pretty much an automatic vote and Will Ferrell on top of that prevents the need for any further thinking and turns it into super-automatic vote.

You're surprised by this? If you wanted to win you should've pandered to the mouthbreathers and picked very famous members of very famous. But, you didn't, and I respect that.

BTW, this by no means is condemning picking guys like Clapton, Hendrix, Paige and the like. There's a large reason why those guys are so famous....... they are really good.

However, I picked Mantas of Venom, I don't expect other people to wanna listen to Black Metal. I just wanted to pick some guys I like and put that out. Who knows, maybe somebody on here gives them a listen and that's why I, and others probably made those kinda picks. Cause really, if you haven't ever heard Purple Haze you are obviously a fool and a communist.

Even though Morrissey is pretentious and boring. Sorry SARFy

i hoped i could steer a few people to petrucci with my pick of him, get people to give him a listen. i think hes underrated in most circles while i personally think he is among the very best. I heard DT play master of puppets and, while labrie did a terrible job signing it, petrucci may have actually done a better job that metallica originally did on the guitar. he amazed me....

Petrucci is one of the best technical guitarist i have seen, but in most cases people haven't heard him, Dream Theatre does perfect covers of bands though which in it self it amazing

looks like people just went with the big names, i think my band would of sounded great together and then throw in Farrell on the cow bell and it would be the greatest show ever
