amazing patriots trade, awful pick. if anything, carolina trades up to get clady, williams, or one of the OTs, not Matt Ryan. give us mike jenkins or aquib talib in that spot instead

Can I ask you a question on the CBs? Which one do you think fits New England's defensive system the best?

i think if it comes down to jenkins and talib, the pats would ultimately select jenkins. bill b had a private workout with jenkins and apparently came away very impressed. if all the corners were taken, i wouldnt be surprised if they reached for talib. i think the "big board" for the patriots on corners is as follows:
1. DRC 2. Jenkins 3. Talib 4. Cason 5. McKelvin

Carolina hasn't drafted a QB in the first round since 1995. ALL of the current QB's on the roster were undrafted free agents. I just don't see them getting Matt Ryan. My money is on Clady or Williams since they have no one at LT and need some stability on the O-Line.. hopefully no more switching people around.

Horrendous Vikings pick. I don't even think we take Brohm if he is there in the 2nd.

I wont argue with Talib, I dont like him but I guess id take him...Gotta say no to Kelly, dont want to spend a 1st on a guy who has medical problems and has yet to work out, no thanks.

Pretty good mock overall, but eh on the Eagles pick, Sweed would be the much better option here than Thomas.

Although Antoine Cason may be a high character guy, the fact of the matter is he does not fit the Packers physical bump n run defense. So with that said I highly doubt we take him, he is more of zone corner. The only way we would take him is if we planned on transitioning him into more of pure man to man CB. I just think there are better fits out there, and although Cason may be somewhat good, I am not sure whether he fits.

back 2 back D-Line picks?

Back to back BPA picks. As a Rams fan, I can always dream they'll figure out why they suck at drafting.

I probably can't sufficiently. I take it you don't like.

He is a fine player, though, and arguably BPA.

I certainly considered a WR.

Who'd you have taken, Cash?

My 4.0 will have a full two, and that trade will probably go down that way again....though Flacco almost went #14 overall.

What player that was available at #31 for the Giants would you have picked there?

I didn't mean to tease with two picks in the 2nd. I meant to cut that off for this forum. I post my mocks on all the Rams forums.

EDIT: I can see from your sig who you like. He would have been the pick if it wasn't for the trade.

If I was confident Malcolm Kelly was 100% healthy, he'd have been the choice there I think.

Cool. That's my favorite call in the whole draft. I had it in 2.0 last month too.

I would rather stay where we are and take Reggie Smith.

Mr. Smith is a popular man up there.

He would have been the choice in a straight mock with no trades.

I don't understand why a team like the Jets (who have needs, mind you) would make a selection that isn't the best value. C'mon now, Mendenhall isn't top 10 material, he belongs in the 10-20's not, at number 6.
Mayo I think is a bit high too but his pro day and combine numbers did send his stock soaring, so I can see how that makes sense, now if it's a good move on the titans' part, I don't know.

If you'll notice, I had Mendenhall ranked #7 overall. Now you may disagree with my rankings, but aren't you glad I made a BPA pick for your team?

Drafting for needs is the bust path. Take that from a Rams fan.

Yeah, I got that heads up on another forum.

Anyway, he was nice fit there I thought. Who'd you have taken? Trade down with a team wanting an OT perhaps?

I would have gone with Devin Thomas, Jenkins or McKelvin (McKelvin's not the best fit, though).

Actually, that was MY BAD. I wasn't aware the Robertson trade had fallen through. I'd been on vacation.

Yeah, Sedrick Ellis to Cincy at #9 would have been the easiest pick of them all. I won't make that mistake again.

And yeah, chances are that I was high.

The bills do play a Cover 2, right? I don't like giving those teams CBs high. I didn't want to give Detroit one.

I hear you on Thomas. He is the #1 WR, IMO.

Interesting Bucs pick, especially when you consider that the Bucs took a guard in the first round 2 years ago (Davin Joseph) and one in the 2nd round last year (Aaron Sears) and both have played pretty well. Sears is actually a beast. Are you projecting Albert as a left tackle?

I don't see that pick happening, and I can't see the Bucs trading up to make the pick when they've invested some pretty high picks on the guard position in recent drafts.

This would be a good pick for the Vikings is Childress is done with Jackson. However I don't think Childress is going to give up on his project. So Phillip Merling would probably end up being the pick for the Vikes.

If you are projecting Albert as a left tackle I could see the Bucs making that pick, but I don't seem them trading up to do it. I'd prefer they go d-line or WR at 20, but they suprise me all the time.

id be stupid in the first two rounds to go after a QB, but id say maybe 3rd round would be best. I really dont like either of them for the Bucs.
