Supposedly the rest of the games were going to be released on Thursday but I haven't heard/read anything about it since. Anyone know if the schedule is still coming out tomorrow or if it has been moved to another date? Cheers.

Honestly it doesn't matter to me. I like the fact that we are playing the NFC South this year tho....I'm planning on heading to a game in early October [and hitting a Cal game as well] so I'm hoping we are hosting the Chiefs or Panthers around that time. It's too bad the Saints aren't making their way to Oakland as that would have been my first choice in terms of games to attend.

he National Football League will announce its full schedule of regular-season games on Tuesday, the Post-Gazette has learned.

The Steelers schedule of 16 regular-season games has been rated the toughest in the league by virtue of their opponents' records in 2007. While each team's opponents have been known, the dates and times of each game finally will be released by the league tomorrow.

Yep, Patriots @ Colts this year. In all likelihood set for Week 9, as the first week of November sweeps, and probably on MNF as it's their turn to host the game.

They aren't in the AFC East together like they used to be, but as long as the Colts and the Pats both win their divisions, they will play every year.

The NFL plans to announce its full 2008 schedule Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET.

When the NFL unveils all 32 team-by-team schedules on Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. ET, watch all the expert analysis and discussion in a two-hour SportsCenter Special on ESPN.

The planned announcement, confirmed by the league in a news release Monday, will reveal dates, times and television schedules. Teams have known their opponents for months, thanks to the NFL's scheduling formula.

The league previously announced four nationally televised matchups for Week 1.

The Washington Redskins open the 2008 season when they visit the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants on Thursday, Sept. 4 (NBC, 7 p.m. ET). The Chicago Bears visit the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 7 (NBC, 8:15 p.m. ET) in a rematch of Super Bowl XLI.

ESPN's coverage begins with a "Monday Night Football" doubleheader Sept. 8. The Minnesota Vikings visit the Green Bay Packers in the first game at 7 p.m. ET. The Oakland Raiders then host the Denver Broncos in the second game at 10:15 p.m. ET.

Well, we'll see if they get more than one, let's not entirely jump the gun. That one MNF Raiders game announced so far being the second of the MNF season-opener double-header, and they need a west coast team for the second game (plus an opponent who doesn't have to travel very far, ex. the Chargers two years ago, the Broncos this season), so logistics helped worked that out.

Interesting, no division rivals for the Colts in the first two weeks of the season then, it's NFC North teams healthy and looking to put up the best fight.

I think it's going to be hard to contain AD, as the Vikes have the best run-blocking offense in the league imo. Honestly I think the Colts will have to outscore the Vikings for the most part, although I'm sure Sanders will be in the box the whole time with Bethea back as the deep safety. See if T-Jack can beat them with his arm.

Edit: Colts @ Vikings is scheduled for 1 PM ET for Week 2. Oh well.

Look at this November schedule for the Colts, thanks to sweeps and the desire for TV ratings:

Monday, Oct. 27 Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans 8:30 p.m. ESPN (not part of November, but much thanks to the pencil pushers for having the Colts travel to Tennessee on Monday night, to play one of the most physical defenses in the league, right before the Pats game. Meanwhile the Pats play the Rams at home this week, gtfo.)
Sunday, Nov. 2 New England Patriots at Indianapolis Colts 8:15 p.m. NBC
Sunday, Nov. 9 Indianapolis Colts at Pittsburgh Steelers 4:15 p.m. CBS
Sunday, Nov. 16 Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts 1 p.m. CBS

The league knows the Bills own the Dolphins in Buffalo, they had to put that game in a dome to give Miami a shot at not getting beat down. ;)

I like it. Starting on a Thursday gives us extra time to prepare for the next game without a true short week ahead of it. Having two dome games as away games in Decemeber is good for us. Also Arizona in late November should be good conditions. I also like ending the season with two no division teams, although we have all three in a row before that. And for once it will be nice to have Seattle at home and not have to go all the way there. The only complaint I would have is our bye is too early, but whatever. At least we have a tough opponent after they bye we can prepare for. I'd be even more pissed if we had San Francisco after the bye.

Also add to that Green Bay gets 6 of the 8 games I don't see where they get the nerve to complain.

That's not so bad, here in the AFC North we have to play your NFC East which might be a better division than ours (maybe, tbd)...and we also have to play the AFC South and their 3 playoff teams from last year, and all 4 of them finished .500 or better.

Yes.. the AFC north plays what I would call the two hardest divisions for overall teams. I'm excited about the level competition the bengals will be forced to compete against though. My only disappointment is that bengals only get 1 prime time schedule - however, with the new flexible schedule I'm not too worried. We play a lot of good teams at the end of the season which could change our times to primetime

The only good thing out of the Browns playing the tough schedule this season is that the Steelers' schedule is even harder. So the AFC North probably will be a little down in terms of wins with the top two teams probably winning 10 or 11 games again instead of 12 or 13 since the games are so tough. One thing that intrigues me is how in week 17 they put Pittsburgh and Cleveland together so that means the last game of the year could determine the division winner.

Yes, I definetly agree with the low winning %age across the division. However, I think every team in the AFC North has a chance to win it. Browns / Steelers were the best last year, but I don't expect the bengals and ravens to be as disappointing as they were last year

Honestly, I'm glad the Broncos don't have a ton of national games. I hate national games. Have to wait longer for them to start, and can't switch and watch other games during breaks.

Ravens defense is one year older and Ogden is gone on offense as well as the Ravens losing a big deep threat in Henry (Yes I know he was hardly ever there) possibly not getting Thurman back, as well as the fact that Ocho Cinco is causing trouble.

It will be between Pit/Cle

I wouldn't count out Cinci. Any time a team has a QB like Cinci does, they can win their fair share of games. In my opinion Cinci is just as likely to have a much better season than last as Cleveland is to repeat what they did last year. Anderson still has to show the world he wasn't a one year fluke.

The Browns of last year remind me of the Bengals of 2005 somewhat, as Cleveland has the best offensive line in the league imo and I don't think one of those guys missed a game in 2007. Cincy's line stayed healthy for every game in 2005, and the offense was as we remembered it, but the next two years they incurred injuries and the offense suffered. And that was with a much better quarterback in Carson Palmer, I'm still not sold on Anderson as I said all of last season, I think the great talent in the OL and skill position players are the key in Cleveland and make Anderson look better than he really is.
