I know must people would like him as a Jet but i'm not sold. I think the hype is all because he's a Patriot and a rush backer though he is not in my opinion. If we don't land Adalius Thomas or someone of that level would you rather add Banta-Cain or one of many hybrid guys that could be had with either 2nd or third round picks?

it depeneds who the guys are, i would rather spencer woodley or abiamiri, but after that i would probably say banta-cain, also im sure mangini knows what hes doing with banta-cain and if we sign him i trust his decision

I'd really like a guy like him, but I'm not "sold" on him as you said. I wouldn't want to spead much on him or get into any bidding wars regarding him, but if we can get him cheap then I'm all for it, he'd be a really nice addition.

The Jets have contacted Banta-Cain's Agent: he's a cheap and effective solution to depth at 3-4 OLB

If he comes cheap I would not mind him but I wouldn't want him to be one of our headliner acquisitions this offseason. Like many of the people who previously posted here, I'm not sold.

i think to many teams want him for him to be an incredibly cheap option anymore

Not a total loss. H The reason he was benched in the AFC Championship was because he cant stop the run well.
