Kickers:

Broncos take close look at Vanderjagt, Berger (http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_8914837)

Receivers:

Two wide receivers attract Denver's eye (http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_8914836)

Vanderjagt or Berger don't do much for me. I'd rather young guys come in and win those jobs.

Parker is good depth and Jackson could be really good for Denver.

The Chris Williams visit is nice to hear about as well.

That virtually guarantees we won't draft him. Shanahan's probably just trying to flush out those teams looking for an OT so he can work out a trade down.

I'm okay with not getting Williams or Clady if we get a decent trade back scenario, either with a team that wants Clady or Williams or maybe Mendenhall if he's still there. I can see Detroit trying to jump up for Mendenhall if he's there. We can take Balmer or Phillips as not quite such a reach and have an extra 2nd rounder. One of those could go to a tackle prospect, maybe Anthony Collins who can play LT or RT.

But if we stay at #12 and take anyone but Clady or Williams I will throw stuff at the TV.

Detroit has the 15th pick I believe, I wouldn't really see them wanting to trade up so bad. And with that trade back, we would be getting a 3rd round pick in the deal.
Either way, if we take Balmer or Phillips 12th/15/top 20, I'm going to be pissed.

jackson and parker? i guess if they sign for less than 1m/year. i have a bad feeling we'll throw a javon walker contract at jackson.

and vanderjagt? seriously? i'd puke if he was our kicker on opening day.

Looks like we signed Parker, I guess he'll provide okay depth. Personally, I liked what I saw from Glenn Martinez last year though.

Wouldn't be my favorite thing either, but we'd fill a need and get a pick. The hell of this draft is that we pick high for the first time in forever but our needs and player value don't match up that well outside of OT.

BTW, the logic behind picking Detroit as a possible trading partner is that speculation has both Chicago and Detroit interested in Mendenhall, so I could see the Lions trying to jump up and snag him before their division rival does. Not a slam dunk by any means, but a reasonable possibility.
