A deal that would send Stuart Schweigart, Fabian Washington, and a 2009 Draft Pick (reported a 2nd and maybe 4th)

alot of websites have been saying that, im trying to look for a credibal one though

It had better be a fourth... As worthless as Schweigert has always been (and as Fabs will be with our line-up up CBs this season) I don't mind dumping them, but I wouldn't give our second by itself for CJ... Not worth it; even with Martz and some other interesting weapons (Jamarcus, possibly McFadden, Walker, Carter, Curry) it's still a risky move. Besides, we have a pretty solid WR corps with those guys as it is (although I would part with Carter/Curry if we made this deal: no reason having Walker, 85, and both of those guys plus Higgins).

I guess if we don't have to sacrifice much for him, I'm fine with taking him. Worst case scenario: he doesn't work out, we wasted a low pick (4th round) and we still got rid of what ultimately amounts to unnecessary cap space in Fabs and Schwei... Because even though Fabs can be good and is certainly not bad, we won't need him next year.

So yeah, I say go for it IF we only give up a 4th (plus Fabs and Schwei).

Just when I thought Al couldn't get any more ridiculous.....

Seriously though, we just gave a buttload of money to Walker. Chad will want a new contract that is even bigger. I don't mind the deal RaiderNation mentioned value wise, but we just don't need another big money WR. If we made this move I can't imagine we would have enough money to sign our 1st rounder.

It's a lot cheaper to sign the 9th overall pick than it is the 4th, plus Javon has only about $16 million guaranteed

This trade would be so great since we dont have to move out of the 4th spot. I mean we are giving up a 2nd and 4th rounder plus a alright CB and a pretty bad S for a all pro WR. I would take that in a heart beat. It will be way different than the Moss situation. We had Kerry Collins as a qb and Aaron Brooks. If Johnson wants a qb with alot of potenial Russell is the guy. I think a Russell,DMC,Fargas,Johnson,Walker,Curry,Carter and Miller would be a very good combo for the future and present.

A 'me-first' receiver who demands the ball is exactly what we don't need with our young franchise QB. I'll pass, thanks.
