Apparently The Vikings Are Going To Cut Fred Smoot
You Think We Can Either Sign Him or Work Out A Trade With Minnesota?
I Think He Could Replace Samari Rolle

Eh Smoot's a headcase and over the hill, he is a big talker but doesn't back it up and even in his prime a bad Tackler, he thinks he's Deion but really he's not that good.

I dont know about Smoot, personally Im not as down on Samari as most are. Alot of the time Ed Reed was on his side for support but then Ed would rome or freelance and try to make the big play leaving Samari on an island by himself. Smoot is a decent CB but in his mind he is one of the best and he'll want money to go along with his own personal ranking and someone will give it to him just not us.

i samarii is fine atleast for one more year. sure they picked on him sometime but thats because Cmac was so good.

its like how darrent williams (RIP) got picked on because of champs skill.

Rolle has been a stand up guy all year with all the negative talk about him. Many instances he was in situations that led to big plays and if you look back it wasn't necessarily him that was out of position. We all love Ed Reed and we all know that his freelancing will help us more then hurt us but with that Rolle needs to stop taking the blame for all of this. You still hear negativity about Rolle and yet everyone has let McNair off the hook for tanking our season!

Anyway about Fred Smoot, while I think he has talent and can still be a quality corner in this league he's not a "Raven" guy. I don't see him being a good chemistry guy nor do I see him playing a role in our defensive scheme. Rolle has a good 2 years left not to mention I'm excited to see David Pittman contribute as well as Ronnie Prude.
