Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Not worth an NFL thread.

Already covered in the Colts team forum (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21371)

The only glaring item I see in this is the fact that he brought a minor to a nightclub and may or may not have supplied him with alcohol.

He and Rocky Bernard ( http://slog.thestranger.com/2008/04/slog_tip_seahawk_arrested_on_domestic_vi ) are the 16th and 17th NFL players to be arrested this offseason.

If I had a dollar for every time I got arrested for being publicly intoxicated I could quit my job and make a living off it. Who cares.

Uh... I only meant the second part...

The who would likely be the Colts Front Office and Coaching Staff.

I meant in the grand scheme of this message board and even the general public in general. Who cares. Dude was partying in a parking lot and got busted. Big deal. I am certainly in no position to cast stones for it, and I doubt anyone else here can either. Was it stupid? Yeah. But is it any stupider (heh) then the countless other dimwits out there doing the same thing? I've done dumber things and not gotten arrested, and I know just about everyone else has too. So whatever. He wasn't driving, he wasn't smacking up any bitches, and he probably wouldn't have even gotten arrested if he wasn't playing the "do you know who I am?" card. So whatever. Stupid in my book, and this is coming from someone who hates the Colts as much as anyone in the history of the world...

I get what your saying and while a bunch of rhetoric could be brought up to fuel an argument, basically your thesis is correct. The only thing of merit in this is the contributing to the delinquency of a minor charge. If that is proven then this little fiasco is an issue that needs to be dealt with.

I never went to a party in high school either. Or college. Nope.

This is a case of normal people acting like normal people.

Thats where you are wrong sir. Kenton Keith gave up the right to be "normal" the day he signed that NFL contract. Once you do that you are in the spotlight and your every action is under the microscope and you have to be above reproach in any and all situations.

love the 'I'm a Colts player' like it should mean he is above the law.....do they really think this, and although i agree it may be true to a degree, he has to realize he's not Peyton Manning.

Sorry, not true. He is still a normal person. People like you speak to why our country is so ****** up with hero worship. Just because he can play football better than 99.9% of the population shouldn't mean public intoxication is a huge news story. I was arrested for public intoxication by age 19, I am pretty sure that won't be the last time either.

According to the police report, Keith "kept hollering that he was a Colts player, he wasn't doing anything wrong, and he would leave when he was ready."

Atleast he got one thing right, he WAS a Colts player. Not a major offense, but when it comes time to cut the roster down to 53 men, there are a lot of tough decisions to be made, and it looks like one just got easier.

I may catch some slack for this, but if I wasn't breaking the law and wasn't hurting anyone, I would hope that people would let me slide if I played the "do you know who I am" card. So what, he was drunk in public. Big deal. It's pretty hard not to be. If he was breaking the law, fine, but all I see is an immature dude doing what just about every other dude under the age of 30 in America does on a near nightly basis. NIGHTLY. He didn't wreck his card drunk, he didn't smack up any hoes and he wasn't doing any nose candy or reefer. BIG DEAL.

Does this mean he gets cut? Might seem overboard, but you dont exactly hear this from Colts players, and they make sure to have a team of high character guys who stay out of the negative media attention...I'm pretty sure they look Rb now, Chris Johnson would be a great back to spell, too bad I want him in Dallas and its going to happen..
