I am confused cause he has Braylon Edwards and Greg Jennings on the list and I'd say they broke out as well

well Braylon did but jennings had a good year i wouldn't consider it a break out year

12 td year I would consider breakout. Not many WR got that many. I'd say colston broke out to since he is Brees' primary target.

Braylon Edwards?? Did you happen to catch last season? Most of those guys already "broke out".

Anyone want to put some money on Chad Jackson? :)

Jennings will do better this year

Jennings will do better this year

I could see Jennings actually taking a step back. 12 td's is hard to top. And the loss of Brett Farve. Well. It's Brett Farve.

But yah. Most of these guys have already broken out. I am going to go with Jason Hill for my homer pick and Sydney Rice and Anthony Gonzalez will both breakout.

Heres a couple I think of that could break out:
- Roddy White - Had an amazing year while having to adjust to a QB carousel, team really hurt his exposure, his game should expand even more this year.
- Sidney Rice- Berrian is going to free him up, could showcase why he was considered a 1st Round Pick last year.

Can Reggie Williams be on this list even though he had 10 td's but only 600 yards?

Marques Colston could and should have gone to the Pro Bowl in his first two seasons in the league. Dude has been out for awhile.

My homer pick says Robert Meachem.

Holmes, Sydney Rice--if he can get a qb to throw to him. Brandon Marshall...

How about a few guys who haven't had 100 catches or 10 td's yet, usually they already broke out if they accomplished one or the other...

Jacoby Jones - Always loved what I saw from him, he is very explosive, and he can be a threat as a #2 WR.

Anthony Gonzalez - Stud in the making...Smart, runs excellent routes, and has a QB with pinpoint accuracy.

Devard Darling - I have always been high on him, and as of now he is the #2 WR in KC with all the attention on Bowe and Gonzalez, he is extremely athletic and I could see him surprise and have people talking about him at the end of the year.

Demetrius Williams - Of course he needs someone to get him the ball, but he is a beast, has all the tools you look for, and it would not surprise me to see him get 10 td's if the passing game is suffiecient.

Homer...Yeah Santonio Holmes should be a beast next year. He was pretty goodz last year...but he was injured most of the season!

How do you know when your team needs a WR desperately?

When you think every player stated in this thread is already teh ballz...

Thoughts on Meachum?

I seriously don't remember anything since he was a late 1st round pick, then overweight or something and deactivated for at least the first couple games.

I think one of Ernest Wilford, Ted Ginn Jr., or Derek Hagan should have a decently big year.

Devin Hester. I honestly see him succeeding at WR.

I actually think Donald could take the step back, and Greg Jennings will step up. Either way, both should do well.

i dont think he'll ever have a real big year, but he'll alwasy be consistent and a good redzone target

HOMER ALERT!

i think mark clayton will take a big step forward this year. Its his 4th year in the league, he has cam cameron working with him, and he has all the talent in the world. With him and derrick mason on the outside, and demetrius williams in the slot, along with todd heap, we might actually have a decent recieving core.

as for other guys, ive always loved reggie williams, just wait until he puts it all together...

I think either Ted Ginn, or Santonio Holmes could possibly break out, with Holmes being more Likely. Holmes has already been doing well, but hasn't gotten much credit for it. I think this he's gonna have a very good year, and get alot of attention for it.

My Homer pick says Roydell Williams. He showed flashes of greatness last year, but has had trouble with injuries and consistency. I think if he stays healthy and consistent he'll have a very good year.

I like Dwayne Bowe, Sidney Rice, Calvin Johnson (to athletic not to be good, and if they get a real LT), Brandon Marshall, Jerry Porter, and Donte' Stallworth.

I think Calvin Johnson is gonna tear up the league in 2 years. He looked really raw last year but he has the talent to be the best receiver in the league in 5 years. Hell possibly even the talent to be the best ever, if he could use all of it. I think the light comes on in his 3rd year.

Im hoping Jason Hill breaks out.

I don't know how accurate those comparisons are, but on those nfl.com draft profiles, they have comparisons to veteran players. Hill's were Chad Johnson and Reggie Wayne...quite lofty expectations. Playing in a Martz offense that is pass happy, im hoping Jason Hill can put up some nice stats.

I also like Laurent Robinson, i think he will do well in Atlanta. I expect him to be the #2 to Roddy White.

I seriously don't remember anything since he was a late 1st round pick, then overweight or something and deactivated for at least the first couple games.

MeachEm. And, him being overweight was an issue and was extremely blown up. The real issue was a previous injury for Tennessee coming back and him needing surgery to repair it. That, plus learning a extremely NFL offense (not to mention Sean Payton's) and he was pretty much redshirted. I predict good things from him this year - he'll be competing with Devery Henderson & David Patten in training camp for the second WR spot.

I could see Ted Ginn having a good year, but if not one of his family members is bound to breakout:D

Roddy White - He'll get more famous at least.

Andre Johnson is going to be sick, though he's a well established star to more than casual football fans.

Jacoby Jones and Mike Walker - My '07 guys, both look like they'll be players.

Anthony Gonzalez - The perfect Colts WR.

Vince Jackson

Steve Smith (Giants)

Santonio Holmes

I seriously disagree, he was absolutely abusing guys in the playoffs. He'll also be the FOURTH focus of the defense after LT, Gates, and Chambers.

He's got monstrous size, speed, and leaping ability and it looks like he's finally put it all together. Maybe he won't have astronomical numbers but he'll be a threat that ranks up there with anyone else in this thread.

.
Watch the Dallas game this season? It could be argued that Jennings was the one who carried the team after Favre got hurt and not Rodgers. Remember Jennings did get all those 12 TDs while missing the first three games, He's going to go nuts this year.

Steve Smith will have a break out year.

Laurent Robinson. If the Falcons strike gold with their QB pick in the draft, Robinson will thrive.
