I guess Culpepper visited Green Bay on Tuesday night, and the Packers are considering signing him as their backup.. I think that's pretty interesting consiering he torched the NFC North for several years and now is hoping to lach on as a backup and see what happens. Hmmm

Can't see anything happening before the draft. He's probably the best vet availible and proved that he could lead a team for a game or two. Wouldn't mind if we signed him, wouldn't be bothered if he went somewhere else tbh.

I really don't know if a culpepper visit needs it's own thread, but hey what do I know?

I hope this don't happen. I think Ted will Draft Rodgers backup.

It was worth an entire article on the front page of ESPN's NFL page, so I think making a thread of it on a forum is okay..

Aaron Brooks is still trying to be an NFL quarterback?

He really needs to just give up.

I guess if we are going to pick up a veteran backup, It might as well be him. I don't see why not he seemed to play decent for the Raiders anyway.

good for daunte. can back up rodgers and compete for starting job. will have way better talent around him than at oakland

No, he can't. It's Aaron's job. There is no competition for the starting QB job no matter who the back up is.

Or will could just resign Craig Nall.......either way I think TT still takes a QB in the later rounds.

When I was watching Total Access earlier they made a comment like "Duante Culpepper may be heading to the North." then a commercial break and my heart sank when I thought the Ravens were looking at him...what a relief...

Itd be nice to have culpepper cheap, and a developmental prospect like Brennan or O'Connell

I don't know, Culpepper is almost the exact opposite of who I envisioned our backup to be.

Culpepper is one of my least favorite players in the NFL. I don't think he ever was good, simply a product of Randy Moss. I don't want him to be a Packer

Theirs not much else to talk about besides the draft.

It would be a bad signing. He not a WCO qb, more of a vertical. I would like someone else imo.

Whatever happened to Ingle Martin?
Didn't make the roster last season. We chose to go without a third QB rather than keep him.
