View Full Version : Where/To Who Do You See Mike Hart Going?
Raven Domination

The Ravens will need a quality backup since Mike Anderson (our old #3 RB) and Musa Smith (who hasn't been resigned and was our #2) will likely not be back with us next season. Musa Smith was good, but too injury prone and couldn't stay healthy. I'm sure we're going to be looking to see who is a solid #2 guy to draft at RB who could pick up the slack if McGahee goes down. I liked Mike Hart in college, but notice there's not a lot of buzz about him and he had a bad combine. There's also Steve Slaton though, Ray Rice, and a tone of other guys.

i agree with hart being a 5th or 6th rounder. i could see him in a steelers jersey or in sd as lt's backup to fill turners role

I think it's actually to his benefit if he DOESN'T get drafted so he could pick and choose the best situation for himself. And the best situation for Hart would be in a ZBS.

I think he'd be a good fit in Denver. He could take be the next Selvin Young/Mike Bell and have a couple of 100-yard games just because he plays for the Broncos.

Green Bay, Denver, Houston...pretty much any ZBS scheme will get a major steal with him.

ok...we'll take em. That is if we dont take mendenhall/jstew which I feel is gonna happen.

its possibly though unlikely, that he goes undrafted. there have been more productive players who've fallen through....teams like to draft for potential which sucks a little bit for a slow, small, not so durable guy such as hart...

Miami, for obvious guessing reasons. But I'd love too see him succeed, anywhere.

I don't think he will be nearly this good at the next level but does anyone see a little of Emmit Smith in Mike Hart.

Probably denver in round 6 or 7. It wouldn't surprise me to see him go undrafted b/c of size/speed/injury red flags adding up.

I think a team in the 6th round that would like a third down back would take a flyer on him...he's just not that good...

like someone already mentioned, he doesnt really have good speed. so yeah, hes got the size you would expect out of a 3rd down back but idk.....hes not that fast

Well unless a team still has Moose Johnson (Owen Schmitt?) and Larry Allen I don't expect much from hart in the future (I will ream myself if it actually happens)

Round 6 or 7 to Detroit who will get a lot of publicity for drafting him which will help them sell tickets which could be a real problem this coming year.

I think, at the latest, someone pulls the trigger on him in the 5th. Don't be surprised if it's the 4th, though.

With Hart, I think you have to throw out the (poor) measurables and just look at the film. He has good balance, great vision, is a willing blocker, protects the ball, and gets tough yards. I don't think he'll ever be a feature back, but he can be a very reliable backup. I wouldn't bet against him becoming a starter though because of how passionate he is about football. I think he'll be gone before the 6th.
