Bengals rookie numbers won't be out until later, but Id expect to see a lot of temporary numbers. Currently numbers 50-59 are taken, so Keith Rivers will probably have a generic number this weekend at rookie camp. I would expect him to have 52 by the time all is said and done, as I don't think Jim Maxwell will make the team.

Weird note: Odell Thurman didn't get his number 51 back. Corey Mays took it while he was suspended. A lot of Bengal fans bought #51 jerseys 2 years ago when Odell was awesome.

67 on Balmer...ugly.
From Matt Barrows:
"He's also not sure which number he will wear. For now, he's been saddled with ugly No. 67. Asked if he would be happy with that as his permanent number, a laughing Balmer said, "No comment. That's the number they wanted me to have. ... As long as I have a 49ers logo on my helmet, I'm content."

Albert Young really fell off i guess, i remember a year or two ago he was a pretty good back, plagued with injuries, but nonetheless he was good and fun to watch. Also was the NJ state rushing leader for awhile, i think maybe K.Moreno broke it, and then Martinek (CB or RB for Rutgers) broke it more recently.

Kind of wierd that Mike Hart will be wearing #32, which was Edge's number, but that was the best number available for him between 32, 35, and 39. And Chad Simpson then took 35.

Hart would have rocked #24 imo, but that number is retired (Lenny Moore). Maybe he'll grab #30 if Clifton Dawson is cut, and 36 may open up depending on Kenton "I was a Colts player, I was a Colts player" Keith.

I mentioned it above, but Hart's only options were 32, 35 (which Simpson later picked), and 39. Heck I'd have picked 32 too. Plus maybe it bodes well, what with Addai wearing Eric Dickerson's 29.

22 and 24 are retired, and the rest from 20-40 are taken.

But when the roster gets trimmed, maybe he can change his number. Dawson's 30 would look good on Hart, for example.

Edit: Nevermind all that, 32 was Hart's high school number and it seems he's glad to have it again (http://www.mike-hart.org/).

What are the Colts expectations for Hart? Expecting him to get a decent load this season, or will he just be the 3rd back playing sparingly...I'm not sure how well he can catch out of the backfield, but he is a tough runner with great vision who could do pretty well in spot duty...I just didn't know how they intended on using him being drafted so late.
