It's time to play Nostra Damus. Now that we know who is where, take everyone in the 1st round (and others if you want) and predict their careers. Busts? HOFers? Predict it.

1. Jake Long- HOFer. Stud tackle for years to come.

2. Chris Long- Great player, a few pro bowls but not much more.

3. Matt Ryan- Good player, but not a top-10 kind of guy. A pro-bowl or two.

4. Darren McFadden- Awesome career. Borderline HOFer.

5.Glenn Dorsey- HOFer. Best DT in the NFL.

6. Vernon Gholston- Bust. First bust here. I like Gholston, but you can't say everyone's going to be a stud and Gholston has the potential to be a big bust.

7. Sedrick Ellis- Great player, 3 or 4 pro bowls.

8. Derrick Harvey- Inconsistent career. Very good at times, but pretty bad at times. Bust? That'll be a big debate.

9. Keith Rivers- Great career. HOFer just barely.

10. Jerod Mayo- Pro Bowls and stuff, but not a HOFer by a longshot. Solid player.

11. Leodis McKelvin- Great player, but not a HOFer by any means.

12. Ryan Clady- Will struggle early in his career but come back and be voted to a couple pro bowls.

13. Jonathan Stewart- Great player when he's not hurt, which will be somewhat often. 2 pro-bowls.

14. Chris Williams- 4 or 5 pro bowls. Good player.

15. Branden Albert- Will struggle at tackle, eventually be moved to guard and be solid. Questionably a bust.

16. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie- HOFer. Will develop into a top cover corner.

17. Gosder Cherilus- Bust. Will never progress as expected.

18. Joe Flacco- Will start immediately and develop fast. Several pro-bowls.

19. Jeff Otah- With time, he'll develop into a very good player.

20. Aqib Talib- After showing good signs early, he'll fall off the map. Bust.

21. Sam Baker- Solid player, but not a first round guy. 1 pro-bowl.

22. Felix Jones- Good home-run hitter and situational runner. No pro-bowls, but he'll be a nice part of the team.

23. Rashard Mendenhall- It'll take him time to get into the rotation as a regualr player, but when he does, he'll dominate. He'll just fall short of the HOF.

24. Chris Johnson- Will be a very good player, but not dominant.

25. Mike Jenkins- Several pro-bowls and a very good player.

26. Duane Brown- Bust. Simply not strong enough.

27. Antoine Cason- Fantastic corner. Several pro-bowls and some will lobby for the HOF, but he won't get in.

28. Lawrence Jackson- Will be underappreciated, and a solid player. No pro-bowls.

29. Kentwan Balmer- Bust.

30. Dustin Keller- Will be a middle-of the-road tight end. Not great.

31. Kenny Phillips- Will be a good overall player, a few pro-bowls.

For the Colts, I think Philip Wheeler and Marcus Howard could give them the kind of pass rush Polian was looking for going into the draft. I look for Wheeler and maybe Howard to be impact players, and most others to be solid contributors.

hey we dealt with guys like plax, toomer who went through a nasty divorce, and strahan who went through a nasty divorce. We supported all of them like family. Manningham is different but I think that he quits the MJ, maybe doesnt change his attitude 180 but he will be a better person.

Its almost like your just throwing around the hall of fame. It takes amazing careers to just have the hall of fame thought about... Your saying that 7 of the players in the first round are in contention for the Hall of Fame...

Fred Davis - reliable backup tightend good blocker, decent career average 30 recptions a year

Malcolm Kelly - 1,000 yard reciever over his career

My random takes:

Sedrick Ellis will be the superior DT to Glenn Dorsey.
The Dolphins took the wrong Long.
Vernon Gholston will be a disappointment, and will not be in the same class as DeMarcus Ware or Shawne Merriman.
When the Raiders are being torn apart by LaDainian Tomlinson, Larry Johnson, etc., on the ground, they will regret taking Darren McFadden.
Matt Forte will quickly overtake Cedric Benson as the Bears primary RB.
The Joe Flacco experiment will blow up in the faces of the Baltimore Ravens' think tank.
Matt Ryan will be a 3-time MVP winner and Super Bowl Champion.
That last one was a joke.

....

Or was it?

1. Jake Long- Because Howie's adopted son.

2. Chris Long- Jealous that his father adopted Jake Long, Chris becomes a sith lord.

3. Matt Ryan- Becomes a CIA analyst. Helps a stealth submarine defect to America.

4. Darren McFadden- Holds out, allows Justin Fargas to become a 1400 yard a year rusher and Michael Bush to become one of the best short yardage backs in the NFL. He is traded to Arizona after only 3 seasons and 1100 total rushing yards. He'll turn it around after he leaves Oakland but much like Thomas Jones did. He'll have a good career but not a pro bowl caliber one. But after his football career is done, he'll make his name as a philanthropist, ultimately becoming Time's Man of the Year in 2028.

5.Glenn Dorsey- Four time pro bowler. Never gets past the first round of the playoffs. Borderline hall of fame, but juuuuuust not good enough.

6. Vernon Gholston- Doesn't live up to Shawn Merriman/DeMarcus Ware expectations. A three time pro bowl alternate who never actually gets there. Has three sacks when the Jets finally make it to the Superbowl. But the Jets lose the game however despite his performance.... and its a blowout. Also of note, a fifth place finish in Mr Olympia.

7. Sedrick Ellis- Does almost as good as Glenn Dorsey every year of his career.

8. Derrick Harvey- Remember Justin Smith? There ya go.

9. Keith Rivers- Becomes one of the best linebackers this side of the Missisippi.

10. Jerod Mayo- Has a decent, not great career. Gets a job as an executive at Helmann's afterward.

11. Leodis McKelvin- Good, not great corner. Leaves at the end of his rookie contract for more money elsewhere. Wayyyyy more money.

12. Ryan Clady- Some d-linemen will take revenge upon him after he chop blocks one too many times.

13. Jonathan Stewart- Future Green Lantern. And late night comedy talk show host.

14. Chris Williams- AN okay offensive linemen. Nothing special, but not terrible.

15. Branden Albert- Will eventually move to Japan to become a K-1 fighter.

16. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie- Will change his name to Dominique Wilkins Johnson Williams Charles Palmer Jenkins Peterson Mutombo Rodgers-Cromartie. His uniform will be the best selling in NFL history.

17. Gosder Cherilus- He was drafted by the Detroit Lions, you figure it out.

18. Joe Flacco- Remember Kyle Boller? Yeah, some teams never learn.

19. Jeff Otah- He'll add a few more letters to his name.

20. Aqib Talib- He'll turn around his life after he miraculously survived getting struck by lightning.

21. Sam Baker- Becomes a chef.

22. Felix Jones- Good home-run hitter and situational runner. A decent football player too.

4. Darren McFadden- Very good back, speed and moves like Petterson but not the power.

5.Glenn Dorsey- Amazing player, but gets bogged down from injuries alot.

6. Vernon Gholston- Very good.

7. Sedrick Ellis- Great player, not as good as a healthy dorsey but career last longer.

8. Derrick Harvey- Never gets more than 8 sacks, mostly backup throughout 10 year career.

9. Keith Rivers- Awesome LB.

10. Jerod Mayo-Bust after a few seasons as a medicore LB.

13. Jonathan Stewart- Struggles in Carolina, becomes great in KC.

18. Joe Flacco- Starts early and his career is very similar to Boller.

19. Jeff Otah- Decent, nothing more.

20. Aqib Talib- Bust.

21. Sam Baker - Bust.

22. Felix Jones- very good change of pace back, never starter.

23. Rashard Mendenhall- Very good back, Parker begins to break down when his contract expires and Mendenhall becomes the feature back.

24. Chris Johnson- Bust.

25. Mike Jenkins- Very solid.

26. Duane Brown- Bust.

27. Antoine Cason- Decent nickle, not starter.

28. Lawrence Jackson- Journeyman backup.

29. Kentwan Balmer- below average starter, but still starter for career.

30. Dustin Keller- Top Ten tight end, not amazing though.

31. Kenny Phillips- Another very good Miami Safety. Not amazing like others.

Brohm is the only starter after 5 years. Rogers plays well but gets injuried alot and Brohm takes over and is Top Ten QB.

1. Jake Long- Will bust like Robert Gallery but will find a home at G and be solid.

2. Chris Long- The un-apreciated guy, the guy who gets 8-9 sacks a year and gives his all on every play yet he gets no recognition.

3. Matt Ryan- Good player will have a Matt Hasselbeck type career. 2 Pro-bowls

4. Darren McFadden- Will be a great player, but will be stuck behind a terrible o-line for years 3 probowls.

5.Glenn Dorsey- Best DT in the NFL will have a Warren Sapp esque career. 6 Pro-bowls

6. Vernon Gholston- He will fill up the stat sheets one game and disappear the next, a guy who will get high sack numbers. 4 pro-bowls

7. Sedrick Ellis- Will be a force on the D-line and will team up with Will Smith for years. 2 Pro- Bowls

8. Derrick Harvey- Will be average but will be well known, because he will be over- rated like Joey Porter

9. Keith Rivers- The leader of the Bengals defense for years, but will go unrecognized like Takeo Spikes 1 pro bowl

10. Jerod Mayo- Will become one of the better LB's in the leauge and become the staple of the Patriots defense 4 probowls

11. Leodis McKelvin- will be above average but that is all

12. Ryan Clady-The next great Bronco lineman 3 Pro-bowls

13. Jonathan Stewart- Great player one of the best when he isn't hurt but he will be hurt often and will have a Fred Taylor type career 2 probowls

14. Chris Williams- The Bears LT for years and will be highly under appreciated

15. Branden Albert- Will struggle at tackle but will learn and become a solid lineman

16. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie- very developmental will take him 2-3 years before he will begin to play at a Pro- Bowl level 3 Pro Bowls

17. Gosder Cherilus- Will be the starting RT for years and will be around along time 3 Pro Bowls

18. Joe Flacco- Will turn out to be Kyle Boller 2.0 and will bust

19. Jeff Otah- Will be the starting RT for years and will be around along time 3 Pro Bowls

20. Aqib Talib- He will be a Pac-Man Jones guy, great on the field not so great off of it, He and Roger Goodell will be on a first name basis. 4 Pro- Bowls

Lions:
Gosder Cherilus - Decent Starter but would be a a starter on 90% of teams in the league

Jordan Dizon - folk hero in detroit, makes a pro bowl maybe racks up big numbers alongside ernie sims

Kevin Smith - Stud, but like fred taylor gets jipped out of several prow bowls, reliable for 1100 a year

Andre Fluellen - Solid Starter, but nothing flashy

Cliff Avril - See: Robert Mathis

HOF'ers:
Brandon Flowers: plays a lot faster than he was timed and will be a shut down corner for the chiefs

Ryan Clady: Lifelong bronco, perfect fit for the zone blocking scheme, dominant LT

Jake/Chris Long: The most dominant players at their position for the next decade.

Notable Successes:

James Hardy: Simply a Freak, has the size to dominate year in and year out

Rashard Mendehall: Eventually pushes Parker to the curb and becomes a legend in the steal city

Sweed: See: James Hardy

Busts:
Matt Ryan: Bust, is walking into hell, no o-line and not too many weapons either, fate similar to Joey Harrington

Dorsey: Reminds me a lot of Ryan Sims, sorry Chiefs fans

Gholston: Won't be terrible but will journey around the league and will be known as a David Boston-esque physical speciman who never panned out

Matt Ryan = will either be the next Joey Harrington or the next Tom Brady
Sam Baker = will be either the next Matt Lepsis (10 year starter in Denver, a couple pro bowls, and underrated his whole career) or he will be the next Kwame Harris
Curtis Lofton = Worst case I see for him is an above average starter level similar to a Fulton Kuykendall type. best case I see is another 5-7 time pro bowl linebacker in Atlanta like Jesse Tuggle, Keith Brooking or Tommy Nobis. not a big feat to some, but if we got another one of those 3 in Lofton, we would 100% love the pick. and we think we did.
Chevis Jackson = should at worst be the nickel for a long time. at best the #2 CB for a long time. low ceiling, but high floor.
Harry Douglas = Will either be a pro bowl WR and develop so fast we had no way of seeing it coming like a Marques Colston or he will be the guy who is a PR./KR and slotman his career.
Thomas Decoud = will backup FS this year. then start in 2009 forcing Coleman to play SS. should be a solid starter throughout his career.
Robert James = backup at WLB. may be cut this offseason
Kroy Bierman = backup at RE and SLB. shoudl be around for 2-3 years
Thomas Brown = backup RB/KR. may be aroudn for a few years, then done
Wilrey Fontenot = backup/barely makign team as #5 CB this year. cut next.
Keith Zinger = career backup/barely makign the team every year as a blocker

Darren McFadden: Over the next 5 years he totals 7000 yards rushing and 65 td's but gets injured and moves to fullbach. Bulks up and becomes and faster and more dominant Lorenzo Neal.

Calais Campbell: Spends his first 2 years at a rotational role at DE, and finaly moves to the NT position that his body craves. He'll be HOF.

Josh Johnson: Bulks up to a 260 and becomes the faster, but more explosive Jamarcus Russel, leads Bucs to back-to-back superbowl wins:
Avg 3000 yards passing and 800 yard rushing.

???

This would be the GREATEST draft class in the history of football.

Come on man.

Yeah, I know I went overboard. I just like so many guys and it's hard to say who won't live up to expectations.

I like Darren McFadden but he seems to try to bounce it outside too much. I think he will adjust though.

DRC, really seems like he could end up being a HOFer, he has been working with Deion Sanders a lot and somewhat compares too him, the major difference is that DRC has his head on straight and is a hard worker
