It's no big deal, things get heated in football, I prefer this to someone not giving a **** when we're losing anyday.

That was back in 2005, that was the last time the Colts and Rams played each other. They won the game 45 to 28, so apparently the yelling worked.

one of the memories of my early childhood was watching marino flip **** on receivers after they would drop passes....haha
i loved it. you have to love a fiery QB....but peyton should learn not to go after lineman who have 100-150 pounds on him, lol

Give me someone who wants to win that badly over someone who's willing to sit there and take a loss any day of the week. What I don't get is why did this make a certain site's "rumor mill"?

Tarik is one large man. Peyton did seem to back down after he got up. I do like it though, the guys need to get a bit fired up from time to time.

It doesn't matter if Manning and Saturday both laugh it off (that clip is from America's Game: 2006 Indianapolis Colts btw), idiot Florio has found himself a story!
What's actually funny is that Manning was mic'ed for that MNF game, which is probably how they got it. Strange how we didn't hear it aired during the game though. :D
Also, I think Saturday is gone after this season. His contract is up after this year, and there's just too much money available now for at least one of 31 teams to not sign a veteran center.
This is what happens when you cross Peyton Manning! Four years later, the team doesn't re-sign you.

Dwight Freeney getting in Orlando Pace's head helped a LOT.
Also the Colts injuring yet another QB that year with their physical play in Bulger.

Ha, wasn't that like 2 years ago?
It was the monday night game when Rams were winning 17-0 and then Bulger got hurt and the Colts came back and won.

Pace didn't start false starting and missing blocks because Bulger was out. That game turned on Dwight Freeney's play. I remember Jaime Martin leading them down the field pretty effectively at the end of the first half, then Freeney came out in the second half, got in Pace's head, caused a false start, forced a Steven Jackson fumble, and got the ball rolling for the Colts in what would turn into a blowout.

Ironic thing is...
If a bad QB from a losing team did that...Grossman-Smith-Kitna-Carr, it would be all over the place and not one ounce of it would be seen as positive.
I love that in players, one of the reasons I want Shockey in blue for his entire career. He brings a swagger.

This probably happens on other teams all the time guys. I just think its pretty awesome how Saturday and Manning have such short memory and go out the next drive settled. Saturday and Peyton are good buddies, and if you disagree tell me you haven't got in a fight with your best friend.

The vid. would cut off the end where Manning says "hell of a job Jeff" with a but tap. This was probably the most frustrating game during the year when they came from behind against the Rams in monday night football.

Nah he wants to retire a Colts and Bill Polian knows how important he is to this team. He will take less money if he has to in order to remain a Colt. He probably will retire within 3 years though. Good thing we drafted a bunch of OG/Cs. Mike Pollak will probably play guard until Saturday is ready to step down.

NFL should do more "sounds of the game" specials. Or even teams should do them, cut together a highlight package and put it on their websites.

Agreed.
On that note, I saw a highlight reel for sounds of the game or something, and one of them was Favre in the huddle saying "Can you believe they pay us to do this ****?" - what a badass one-liner to say to your huddle.

"This is the last year of my contract, and they drafted [two] centers,'' he said, referring to Wake Forest's Steve Justice and Buffalo's Jamey Richard. "But we play interchangeable positions [on the line]. I've started at left guard and right guard. I hope to sign another contract and play another four years or so."
Looks like Saturday wants to play 4 more years for the Colts, so obviously all the centers drafted are supposed to play guard/be back-ups and this isn't a big deal to Saturday.

I'm not going to overpay for a 34-year old (next June) center, potentially on a full-fledged decline and/or beginning to break down as he gets older. Not when Manning is entering the second half of his career, no thanks. Some team with money to spend and a desire to not suck will though, they'll outbid the Colts and other interested teams by a good deal. There's just too much money out there not to.
I'd much rather invest money in younger players like Marlin Jackson and other players on the roster/defense, personally. Saturday isn't the only free agent after 08 or 09.

Yes this is true, but wether he wants to be here or not people get cut :(
I'm cool either way; we have great talent at center now.
