Come draft time I always find myself cheering for the smaller school prospects, this year I've decided to get a head start on it, who are some people I should follow through out the year who can have an impact in the 2009 NFL draft

A few I already have my eyes on

Dan LeFevour QB Central Michigan
Chase Holbrook QB New Mexico State
Gerald McRath LB Southern Miss
Ladarius Webb DB Nicholls State
Joe Burnett CB Central Florida

is JD Quinn the guy who got kicked off of Oklahoma with Rhett Bomar? Also, what ever happened with Bomar anyways and is he still even remotely on the NFL radar?

Yes on Quinn. Bomar is at Sam Houston State and is a junior, I think.

Bomar is a senior this year as well, if he has a good season and solid workouts, he'll have a good chance of being drafted.

I see Barden as a H-back/TE in the NFL. Just have him gain a few pounds, and he will be ideal as a Dallas Clark type of reciever. As for LaDarius Webb, I have seen mocks of him being selected in the first so I guess he is legit.

Here are a few players that have not been mentioned yet, however these are not extremely small schools though. Hard to get the opportunity to see some real small school prospects play.

Bobby Reid QB Texas Southern- do not forget this former Oklahoma State transfer
Colin Kaepernick QB Nevada- a real potential star in this tall young QB
Armanti Edwards QB Appalachian State- do not forget about his playmaking ability
David Richmond WR San Jose State- real athlete but who gets him the ball
Quentin Cotton LB East Carolina- outstanding playmaker, is really one of the best in the nation
Ramon Humber LB North Dakota State- fast and tough at LB
Darius Butler CB UCONN- out of this world athlete, should become a star
Damion Fletcher RB Southern Miss- big time RB with great speed
Jerome Murphy CB South Florida- potentially could be a standout CB
Charles Clay FB Tulsa- one of the best weapons at FB in the nation

Here are a few guys from my team that will get a look. I don't know 40 times.

Reggie Jones CB/WR 6' 200 Very fast, and a very, very good cover corner. He should have a huge year, and may even have a shot at the first day. He is the best athlete I have ever met.

Andy Schantz ILB 6-1 235(listed weight, he has put on some more) Team leader, I think he is better than Jordan Senn, who was signed by the colts. He would be a late rounder UDFA.

KJ McCrae OLB 6-1 240 Hits like a truck and is very strong. Probably an UDFA.

We had 7 guys sign free agent contracts last year(on a 3-8 1aa team). Jerry Glanville gets our guys looked at.
