atta boy.
I personally want as many people possible to doubt the Giants, bc our team plays much better when they get no respect. When they get love, they get big headed and underachieve.

People, go ahead and critisize all you want. These are my predictions its not like a rubbed the eight ball for each one. This is my opinion just like everyone else has thiers. I created this post so other people can post thier standings. In the NFL everything is possible. The Falcons can finish better than the panthers, the giants can finish last. Its my opinion and anything can happen.

i don't really see the bears doing worse than last year when they'll have a healthy D this year, still have hester, and have an improved o-line.
they shoudl still do better than the lions though, lol
and i don't see the steelers going under .500. can the browns beat them? yes, but i don't see them doing worse than .500
and the raiders? yes theyll be better but theyre still going into next year with an inexperienced 2nd year QB and very little worth mentioning along the D-line. great secondaries can look awful when the QB has all day to throw...i don't see them at .500

Cough, swept in 07, cough. Plus I did my Bears hex dance when I was at the Shedd Aquarium passing by Soldier Field a couple weeks ago. I did one last year for the first time and it worked.LOL
Lions got better in some areas and have a lot of youth on defense in the Marinelli mold of players. Bears will have a better D, but not 05/06 Bears D. And the Bears offense, thats a wait and see situation like the Lions D. Bodden against Marty Booker, I finally like a Lions corner matched up against a receiver.

The Chiefs won't make the playoffs but saying they will go 2-14 is a little much.

Bears: 7-9
Lions: 6-10
I almost think that is modest for the Vikings. I think you guys can pull off a 10-6 or 11-5 season. I just can't predict anything with the Packers this year because of Aaron Rodgers. I have faith, but he is still very very unproven. (I do not believe that Dallas game meant much last year)

AFC West rankings are a joke. I seriously doubt the Chiefs go 2-14 but what is even more of a joke is having the Raiders ahead of the Broncos. Won't happen.

Actually you'd be suprised at how aware our team was regarding the media and what they said about our team. They hung things up in the lockerroom, and even when they came on Mike and maddog radio show in NY, through their interviews they would say they knew that people were critical of them and doubting them.
So yeah your message board post, is sarcastic, but it's actually not too far off from the truth.

Tough schedule, and a lot of parity in the division.

We're not talking about Merrill Hodge or Ron Jaworski. We're talking about some random guy in cyberspace. I highly doubt they give a flying you-know-what about what Joe Schmoe thinks.

since i was nitpicking everyone elses i thought it was only fair to present my own to be nitpicked by everyone else. i think i came within about 3 (give or take) of equaling out wins and losses but screw it...enjoy
AFC NORTH
Cleveland 10-6 (solid season, not elite but very good)
Pittsburgh 10-6 (solid season, lose to browns in tiebreaker, tough schedule)
Cincy 7-9 (offense keeps them in games but defense still knocks them out)
Baltimore 5-11 (QB play + aging D + questions at LT + new coach = down year)
AFC EAST
New England 14-2 (lose a few but are still monstrous on offense)
Buffalo 9-7 (a better year with improvement seen in them, just miss playoffs)
NY Jets 7-9 (improvement is seen but shaky QB play holds them back)
Miami 4-12 (this year is a growing year but parcells wont let them stay bad long)
AFC SOUTH
Indy 13-3 (very good as always, just lose out to the pats in the AFC record wise)
Jacksonville 11-5 (solid year but can't quite surpass the colts)
Tennessee 8-8 (Lack of offensive weapons hurts VY's development)
Houston 8-8 (solid team, tough division)
AFC WEST
San Diego 12-4 (decent year, somewhat weak division)
Denver 8-8 (I don't see them being worse than last year but they don't contend)
Oakland 6-10 (Improved but no .500, thats too much...)
Kansas City 4-12 (Good draft but lots of question marks still, rebuilding year)
NFC NORTH
Minnesota 9-7 (Great run game and defense, held back by jackson)
Green Bay 9-7 (Still a young team with basically a rookie QB in terms of exp, step back)
Chicago 8-8 (Healthy D, improved o-line and run game keep them around)
Detroit 6-10 (They're the lions. I'll believe theyre better when the actually do it)
NFC EAST
Dallas 11-5 (Best team talent in the weaker conference)
NY Giants 9-7 (Eli still needs to prove he can be consistent all the time)
Washington 7-9 (New coach, new offense, a year of learning)
Philly 7-9 (Have a bunch of problems imo that are overlooked by most)
NFC SOUTH
New Orleans 10-6 (Offense back on track, D improved enough)
Tampa Bay 8-8 (Age hurts, lost some defensive players too)
Carolina 7-9 (Another disappointing year where theyre not bad, but bad enough)
Atlanta 3-13 (Probably going to have a rookie QB most if not all of the season)
NFC WEST
Seattle 9-7 (Best in a weak division)
St. Louis 7-9 (Improved but not quite there yet)
Arizona 7-9 (Same record but better team if you can grasp that)
San Fran 5-11 (Martz will kill Gore and they will rotate QBs like no other)
one note: I broke my own rule of always putting a team with a top 5 pick in the playoffs...It's happened the past several years and I'd bet St. Louis if it happened again
