anyone ever been to india?

I am going there tonight and was just wondering if anyone else has been and has any tips outside of the normal ones u see (its hot, taxis rip u off, pickpockets are common, etc.). I will be pretty much everywhere in the country, its a whole tour, so tips for any part of the country are appreciated. Thanks!

Its easy to tell the difference, my mate went to thailand earlier this year and he said the ladies look like ladies but the ladyboys dress like whores and wear heaps on make up and are more forward.
