Who would you personally like to see the Phins land?

I would love to see Dielman and/or Steinbach here, Steinbach could probably play LT. Besides that, Thomas would be good but we won't have the money for him. So, it looks like those would be my only 2 main targets. Also, some young guys like Orr, Foley, etc.

I've read that we're targeting Dielman and Ovie Mugheli (Raven's FB) other than that all I've heard is that Donte Stallworth has expressed some interest in playing for Miami.

I heard the same about Stallworth, but where did you here about Mugheli? I would love him at FB, we need a youngish guy like him.

If we could bring in Dielman, Orr, and Stallworth I would be ecstatic.

im not a big fan of stallworth but dielman and orr sound great to me.

i dont know much about mughelli but i think we need a big blocking back a la lorenzo neal so if thats what he is im all for him.

i also like antwan peek as a DE/OLB type of guy. he played under capers in houston and had his best year(6 sacks) in his third year/capers last year as HC.

Apparently Cameron also recruited and coached Dielman at Indiana, and got the Chargers GM to sign him as an UDFA. I don't see how he doesn't come to Miami.

Dielman, Steinbeck and Derrick Dockery are the three "premier" OGs available. Come on Dielman!

i saw that too. if he signs anywhere other than SD or Miami, it will be a HUGE disappointment and extremely shocking.

Joey Porter is likely to be released. I wonder if we would have any interest in him.

i heard well be targetiung the underachiever napoleon harris

He has already been cut. I would love him here in Miami. If we can't get Thomas, Porter is the next best 3-4 LB.

And I would love to add Dielman and Thomas/Porter, that would be a good offseason.

I would like to bring Harris in. He has always had the physical skills but constantly changing schemes and positions has really hurt his mental development. I think he could be a good SLB and if nothing else he would be good depth at both ILB and OLB.

I'm not really interested in Thomas. He is relatively old and will cost a good amount. I'd much rather sign a discount SLB. I really don't want to give up a lot of money for a 2 down player.

eh...i still think Orr is the best option for us at OLB.

I do too, I'd like to bring in both Orr and Harris if Harris comes cheap.

Joey Porter is likely to be released. I wonder if we would have any interest in him.

according to Michael Smith we have interest in Adalius Thomas BUT that with Porter being released you could see us go after him because of the connection with Dom Capers.

I wouldn't be againt bringing in Napolean Harris. IMO he could turn out like Vonnie Holliday did for us; an unspectacular player for most of his career, but becomes a very important part to our defense.

I'd much rather us shell out the money for Dielman that Thomas.

what connection does porter have with capers??

but yea id rather spend the money on dielman/steinbach.

actually i just looked it up, porter never played for capers. capers was gone from the steelers and was actually working as an assistant for the jaguars when porter was drafted by pittsburgh. capers went from the jags to houstons HC job right into our DC job...

yea i know...i wasnt trying to bash you cause i saw that michael smith said it. i just find it kinda funny that a sports journalist would say something like that even though its not true...and living in PA i follow the steelers and eagles too so i was completely confused on that statement so i did some research...something journalists really should try sometime.

lol Porter.

There are too many questions about him IMO. Between his age, his mouth and the money he was cost I just don't think it would be worth it. I think he would be a good fit in the defense, but I still don't think it would be worth it. I really don't think we need a premier player at SLB.

donnie edwards when asked about what LB he'd like to play next too: "Zach Thomas." he didnt even hesitate. i doubt it means anything cause hes an ILB anyway but its something to consider i suppose...

Some of the main probs. that the phins have are at O line, youth at DL and OLB and consistint DB. So do you think that we could target Clements or even Pac Man (if he is released)? Also watch for a WR named Laurent Robinson in the draft. I would love to get this kid he had a great combine running a 4.38 and caught every ball thrown to him. The quarterbacks all talked about how they under throw him due to his deseptive speed. I love to get him in the 4th or even 5th.

so much for mughelli...signed with the falcons.

dielman went to seattle first too...lets hope they dont pull a detroit and not let him leave.

I'm actually a little iffy on signing Dielman. Both the other guards got Hutchinson type deals, with neither being anywhere near as good. I wish we would have gone after Hutch last year, what he got seems like a discount now.

miamichamp_305

Why did the Falcons sign Mugheli? Does this mean FB Justin Griffith is a FA now? If he is I would love that kid at FB.

Grizzlegom
03-02-2007, 06:21 PM
griffith is a free agent...the reason they signed mughelli is because griffith didnt fit petrino's offense. griffith wouldnt really fit our offense either cause cameron likes a big bodied blocking fullback and griffith is more of a pass-catching WCO guy i think.

The agent for San Diego guard Kris Dielman said Friday that his client probably wouldn't end up in Miami.

I'm not very shocked with the money being given out to the OGs. I'd much rather draft one.

yea i would have to agree with you there, OG is pretty deep this year and if shelton stays at RG (which would mean alabi is ready for LT) then letting joe toledo battle it out with the rookie for LG should be decent enough.

Dielman resigned with San Diego.
