It seems Eric Henderson has been working at DE again during the OTAs and TE Daniel Coats has been getting some work at FB.

Henderson could do some real damage this year IMO.

If he stays healthy we have a really good DE.
He lead tha ACC in sacks his senior year I believe, which was more than Mario Williams had.
Even if he is used as a pass rush specialist only ill be happy with double digit sacks.

I really liked how he looked at OLB last year before he got hurt. May never have become a starter but we could line him up in a few different places for some blitzing. Anything to change up our attack is probably a good thing.

Also, Ahmad has continued working at SLB behind Jeanty at this point.

He did look good OLB. But his injuries might be lessened at DE so it might be the best move.

Why is he still at SLB? he should be MLB and Jones at SLB behind Jeanty

I have no idea. Maybe they just don't want him to have to worry about calling the signals and in this defense the MLB might HAVE to be the signal caller. Thats prolly the reason why Dhani is there in the first place.

yeah, i guess.
Shame the WLB (Rivers) couldnt call signals.
"Alright, you guess cover and I'll kill the guy with the ball."

Keith will just TELL everyone what he's gonna do n they'll have to figure **** out after that.

EX: "I'm gonna kill Ben Roethlisberger right here, Y'all do what ya have to do."

I read somewhere in a recent article that they had Brooks working a little on the Ends... I may have read it wrong or misconstrued something. But I am pretty sure I read he was practicing a little on the Defensive end positions.

Thats because Guns don't kill people, Keith Rivers does!

Ya I saw him on video in the OTAs. Maybe he just cant handle linebacker? He certainly is athletic enough/big enough to play end if he adds some weight. Or maybe they are working on some packages with him on one end and Henderson on the other. That would be pretty cool.

My guess he is working on some packages. Then again I also heard Marvin was really impressed with the Linebacker they picked up in FA that played for the Cardinals last year. So they might be trying some stuff out.

No different than Jeanty/Henderson playing so much DE in last preseason really. Brooks has the build to maybe do some damage on 3rd down at DE.

I'd hope they're keeping Henderson at LB. I think he's got a lot of potential there. Just keep him as a situational guy at DE at times... Pending what Odom does or if Geathers/Odom get hurt Rucker/Fanene may be plugged in until pass rush situations.

I bet they'll carry Henderson as a DE who they would be willing to move around in certain situations. I was quite impressed with his coverage abilities considering his sudden switch to 4-3 OLB. They weren't great but he can definitely cover the flat/do some short drops. If Rucker steps his game up our DE's are lookin pretty nice. I'm pretty confident in Odom.

With the lack of depth at DE, I would LOVE to see Henderson get his shot at his natural position from college. He's one of those guys we have that has the potential to be a real suprise to many...

I could see him coming on in the way Robert Mathis did for the Colts. Maybe not to the extent of becoming a starter but he can be a solid ST/situational pass rusher that we can put in a few different places.

Anything that provides versatility on defense is fine by me.
Cant be worse than Chucky B's 7 men drop 2 just stand there, 2 rush the QB technique of Defense

Maybe its just me, but I'd actually like to see our D players have some continuity and stop trying to move them around all the time....I mean, its not like Ahmad had total grasp of the MLB position before anyway.....

They interviewed Jordan, he said the only way CJ would play this year was if he was QB lol. Also said he was brought in to beat Carson out as the starter.
