It is called Mass Effect: Revelation.

The book is a prequel. Its about Captain Anderson and the mission he had with Saren . The book is written by the lead story writer of the game. Picked mine up at Barnes and Noble for 8 bucks. This book hooked me so fast that i was torn between playing the game or reading the book

I haven't even beaten the game yet. I'm almost there, but I restrain myself from playing too much because then the game will be over and I'll start sulking. If I had the next 2 sitting in front of me I wouldn't sleep 'til it's finished. Then I'd play the last one nice and slow :)

You'll probably appreciate a good RPG as you get older. I love FPS games as much as the next guy there's only so much I can take before it gets boring. RPGs are a nice change of pace when you just want to kick back for an hour or two without having to mash your controller.

I only used to play sports and racing games, really. It took me a little while to appreciate more complex games.

Kemp is the only one in it of those three. (he's a beast too) There are farm systems but, they arent deep and you cant play as their teams. Most of the prospects they used are ones that have been called up before and their are some fake guys. Yes, there is fantasy draft. The franchise is pretty deep...set ticket prices, emails, hire/fire staff...not a bad game to simulate in. As for gameplay you may have to adjust sliders...once you get too good on the defualt level (pro) and have to move up...it's a significant difference. You'll go from 15 K's per game on pro to maybe 1-3 per game on all-star. Two other problems...both user players and cpu hit too many homeruns...and you'll be robbed of a homerun about two times per game. That kind of gets old fast.

One other random thing...On All-star w/ default sliders the cpu can hit damn near anything out of the park, regardless of pitch location. This includes guys like Juan Pierre, David Eckstein, and Scott Podsednik.

i agree 100% on all star they can hit anything, also hitting homeruns is getting old all my guys have like 65 HR, 108 RBI's by the All Star Break

It will give you a list of options...you have to request a repair. Once you go through all the menu stuff, you'l get a real person on the line and just tell them you got the red lights. They'll ask for your address, 360 serial number, blah, blah, blah...then they will ship a box to your house, so you can send your xbox out.

I really dont like 1st person games...never could get into them. Also, the whole science-fiction/space thing is a little played out, imo and I've never been a fan of any of that as well. What some see as groundbreaking and amazing...your Halo's, your WW2 1st person shooter clones, Bioshock, Mass Effect do not appeal to me at all. I've played em all...not my thing.

As for Alan Wake over GTA. What can they honestly do to make GTA any different? You can literally do anything in San Andreas...it's basically going to be the same game, just in a different setting. It gets a little old after a while. As for the whole Russian immigrant storyline, meh...I'm not exactly excited about it. I'm sure it will be full of countless cliches and hackneyed stereotypes and missions. Sure, I'll get it but, it doesnt get me nearly as excited as Alan Wake does. Obviously, I'm totally in the minority here but, that's how i see it.

I didnt say it was the greatest game. It was my personal favorite though, 2007 didnt really supply me w/ the games that I normally like. Assassin's Creed had it's flaws but, it kept me entertained. I really could free run in that game all day and not get bored. I figured this game would do bad...today's "gamers" seem to like constant action over a story-driven game nowadays. That's where I differ. Now, Assassin's Creed's story wasnt the greatest and they didnt do the best job of explaining it either but, I still found it to be a lot of fun. It was nice to have something a little different, rather than all the 1st person shooter clones that everyone else is making these days. Give me a decent story driven game over a 1st person shoot em' up, any day.

That's what makes Mass Effect special. It's very easy to sit through the entire campaign, the difficult part is putting it down. The game is very interesting and there are codex entries on everything about the world and its inhabitants, so you can learn as much as you want. BioShock is more subtle in its story because it's not spoonfed to you. You have to read the diaries and focus on the environment to get a sense of Rapture and the storyline.

Once I fully understood the game I realized how stupid I was to be a vanguard. I never used the biotics and it would've been awesome to be a soldier and have better armor and sniper rifles/assault rifles. I thought the biotics would be cool like BioShock but they sucked hard.

Yea Lift helped me out a **** load and warp is really hand in the beguning of the game. It i pretty damn fun to sneak u on a group of geth lift them and pump shotgun shells while they are floating.

All you mass effect guys what is your favorite weapon upgrades, ammo, and armor upgrades as I cant really find any great ones. BTW whats the best planet to buy stuff (Need somewhere to buy my final weapons of the game)

Actually I don't know, I just bought liscenses whenever I saw them at merchants. But try the soldier at the bottom of the Normandy he should be selling spectre weapons now. As for armor it's pretty must just luck at finding a good one in crates, but not until you get to level 50 and higher armors start to become really helpful.

Haha yeah I would do that a lot too. I actually started the game out as a vanguard (soldier/biotic) and I didn't like it at all. Very boring being a support character.

Buy as many licenses as you can, but once you get the spectre weapons, you're set. I use the HS-whatever pistol with the toxic rounds (55% damage plus damage/sec). I also use stability upgrades, and I have health regeneration upgrades on my armor as well as the one that helps out your mobile accuracy and stuff. The game gets so much easier once you add all that stuff.

If GTA IV had multiplayer i wonder how that would work, like all 1,000,000 people in one city going around doing there own thing, and just blowing **** up always. It would be fun for a little while but then get boring. Unless they made it kind of like the Sims meet GTA online. Where you have to do online **** to survive get a job talk to people, yet still do GTA things like kill random ass people. I would love trying to become a cop online, shooting people down and chasing them.

The intercooler I bought was busted. It was used, and i didn't see it was chipped on one of the latch parts, so it rattled whenever I turn on the system. That was a waste of $5.

I had this problem too... It happens with older consoles. I ended up trading mine in for an elite. I dont think that there is anything you can do to fix this other than get a new Console

the wireless adapter sucks hook it directly up if you can. go buy a 25 foot ethernet cable and do that.

i don't know really how to help with the live sign up being unavailable. you just enter your info and thats it. maybe try turning off your box and turning it back on. that helps like 90% of problems that occur with game consoles.

You want the Xbox to be as cool as possible so try these things:

First off try putting a spare game or DVD case under the middle of the Xbox. Doing this should allow for air to come in from the bottom of the xbox to help with cooling. Along with that move the power brick away from the back of the xbox, you want to keep that as cool as possible too. And finally one last thing you can try is plugging it directly into a wall instead of a power strip (if that applies). Thats all i really have, if that doesnt work i say call xbox and tell them what your problem is.

From what i hear you lose your account, seeing as you have to enter a new XBL GT when you put in the trial code.
The account recovery is for old the Old Xbox Live and for buying XBL after your trial is up.

hmm...just go to Game Modes and pick Legacy mode. Select "New Open" to pick any team you want. Set your settings...then pick your team. Then you can edit your coach if need be. Keep pressing start to advance past all the coaching stuff and schedule editer if you want. Then just sim the next step and advance to the regular season. Press "A" at the next screen and enter your calendar...Then you can play/sim your kick off scrimmage, watch/skip the season preview...set your redshirts...and then you can click on the games you want to play. This makes it seem so hard...but, it really isnt at all. They have a deep Legacy mode which is really heavy on recruiting...I like it...some really don't care for it much.

Hey, guys, my brother was playing Mass Effect a lot today. He played like four hours straight then turned it off for about three hours to watch the football game. And then played two to three hours straight again, and then it said that the disc read an error and we pressed 'Play Game' on the user interface and the XBox 360 sounded like itwas having a hard time reading the disc. I've had this 360 for about a week now, I got it Christmas Eve night, but I believe I had I had already ordered it a couple of weeks before Christmas, but it's still very new. Is this something I should be worried about?

Other games that my 360 has had troubles reading is Forza Motosport 2 (the first night I opened it, it wouldn't read it once, but then I ejected, then put it back in, and it worked), NBA 2k8 (just once), and my brothers had it happen to them with some MLB game they rented too. Now that I think about it, this has happened to all the games I've had, but it only happens in the beginning. Tonight with the Mass Effect problem was the first time this issue happened when it just said some instructions. Something like "1. Clean the disc, 2. (I forgot what number 2 said) then it said something about contacting XBox on the bottom of the screen."

I took the disc out (the disc was really hot, but I'm not surprised considering it's always been hot after someone played it for an hour, this happens to all my discs) and put it back in after about ten minutes, and it worked again.

My 360 is horizontal, and the air circulation around it is spacious. The same goes for the power box. The only thing that stands in the way of the fan 'outage?' is a couple of wires, but it's not like it's really close to the vent of the 360.

I'm a little worried about it, and I'd appreciate any type of advice. I'm very nervous and worried that I have to send it in and get it fixed again because my parents hate it when that happens, but I guess what has to be done should be done, but I still want to know if this is normal or if this sounds really bad or not. I appreciate any help. Thanks.

My 360 had troubles reading Madden 08 so I took the game back and got another copy and since then the only thing that it has failed to read was burnt DVD's.

You can always contact Microsoft and ask them. They have a 2 year warranty on the 360 so you can always RMA it.

I personally wouldn't worry about it unless (A) the warranty was close to running out, (B) it failed to read anything, or a game multiple times when there's nothing wrong with the surface, or (C) it red rings....

I cant make an open shot to save my live on All-Conference in 2K8. The shots aren't even close either...it's awful. I like the Legacy but, shooting is a bit iffy...it's not nearly as consistant. You could have a wide open look and your player w/ a 90 3pt shot will just brick it. This happens way too often...jumpers are awful in this game...unless your playing on Starter, where you cant miss. I havent played a person yet but, that happens against the cpu all the time. I'll shoot about 16% from the arc to their 70%.

Have ya'll seen the some of the gameplay footage for Battlefield: Bad Company? Graphics looks great and the supposed destructive enviorment is promising. But the frame rates look abit sketchy. Could be just the IGN videos. Looks great though.

What profession did you pick? I first did Vanguard and it didnt really work but still finished game. Now on second playthrough I am an Infiltrator and it is much better.
