This one looks like it is gonna get ugly. The Feds raided this Orlando pharmacy which was doing like $30 something million dollars a year worth of business selling drugs online, including steroids, HGH, and other performance-enhancing drugs, many of which were sold to professional and collegiate athletes. They confiscated records that apparently implicate some big name athletes and teams, including the Steelers* team doctor personally purchasing $700,000 worth of steroids and HGH in 2006. This ain't gonna be pretty.

*Steelers connection was reported on Orlando news, not in the article.

Isn't it enough that Joey Porter already got owned by K2? Now he is going to get busted for roids as well....oh well.

But yeah, it will get ugly. I am starting the book as we speak.

The first name implicated seems to be Gary Matthews Jr.

*sigh*

This is never good for a league. I mean, we all know that a lot of people are cheating, but when we *KNOW* who is cheating, it's hard to watch them.

I will never respect Merriman again, and now who knows who else.

Screw this "multiple chance thing." It should be a one and deal from here on out. You get busted for roids, you're done, period.

I think that may put and end to some of it. Well hopefully anyway.

Yes it could be more strict for sure. However, once someone gets labled with steriod use they're career will never be the same. (Barry Bonds, Merriman)

Maybe we should let someone with great expirence deal with the steriod issue, like congress.. they could fix it.

I'm not too sure about the one positive test you are out deal, I like it but what if it's proven to be something silly like an allergy medicine substance that comes up positive? Of course, the league (whichever it may be) would probably bend the rules but there will probably be a good enough excuse to it. I say suspend indefinitely, go to a rehabilitation place (clean the guys up even if they don't come back) and if they have intentions of returning, one test per week.

Anyway, it's a shame that this stuff is still coming to light. It's such a blemish on sports as a whole and it just gets you thinking, "there's plenty of these one things that we don't know about" and say Ryan Howard hits 60, people would not look at him the same way they did in 1998.
