With the regional teams being selected today, what are some of your thoughts on the post season? Who are you 8 to go to Omaha. Who could be some suprises that could go to the big eight?

My 8 teams go as followed:

ASU
North Carolina
Rice
Flordia State
Miami
Stanford
Cal State Fullerton
Georgia

If the Cali teams dont play eachother, I could also see Long Beach State go, but I believe one of the top teams in Cali will play another. Thoughts?

I wish college baseball was more publicized so I knew more about the teams coming into the CWS other than having to do my own research. It's real fun to watch.

Yeah, I actually did know Stony Brook was pretty good. I actually used to live about 45 minutes from Stony Brook and always liked the school.

Oklahoma sucks and will most likely be swept by Vandy. I just can't believe how bogus it is that we get such a stacked Regional as the #3 seed when teams far below us get easier regionals.

Also, Oregon State got robbed by not being able to play in a regional when a team like Arkansas didn't even make it into their conference's tourney.

Miami drew a tough regional... despite being 47-8 and winning the toughest conference in the country and also sweeping through the ACC tournament.

BC has a stud pitcher and Mizzou and Ole Miss are no slouches either.

However, I still see UM advancing to Omaha simply because I don't think those teams can get the Hurricanes out on a consistent basis. SP will be a minor concern for Miami, but with Erickson back healthy I don't see it as a downfall.

1 In Coral Gables, winner of Ole Miss/Missouri must beat Miami twice
2 In Cary, NC, winner of Elon/UNCW must beat UNC twice
3 In Tempe, winner of Oklahoma/Vanderbilt must beat Arizona State twice
4 In Tallahassee, winner of Bucknell/Florida State must beat Tulane twice
5 In Fullerton, UCLA is up big, so assuming UCLA wins, the Bruins wait for the winner of Virginia/Cal State Fullerton
6 In Houston, winner of St. Johns/Texas must beat Rice twice
7 In Baton Rouge, winner of UNO/Southern Miss must beat LSU twice
8 In Athens, winner of Georgia/Lipscomb must beat Georgia Tech twice
9 In Raliegh, winner of SCar/JMadison must beat NC State twice
10 In Lincoln, winner of Nebraska/OralRoberts must beat UC Irvine twice
11 In College Station, winner of Houston/Ill-Chi must beat Texas A&M twice
12 In Palo Alto, winner of Stanford/UC Davis must beat Pepperdine twice
13 In Stillwater, winner of Oklahoma St/TCU must beat Wichita St twice
14 In Long Beach, winner of Long Beach St/San Diego must beat Fresno St twice
15 In Conway, winner of Alabama/East Carolina must beat Coastal Carolina twice
16 In Ann Arbor, winner of Michigan/Kentucky must beat Arizona twice

Only 9 #1 seeds are in the driver's seat of their respective regionals, but none are eliminated. Only 1 #4 seed (Fresno St.) is in the driver's seat, and one #3 seed (Tulane). Two #2 seeds have been eliminated (Florida and Dallas Baptist).

Hah, that's classic. What a terrible call. I wouldn't say that cost you the game, because the guy still has to deliver with the 2 out hit, but that was real bad. His foot was on.

Everything about that play was legal though, yes, you do have to be completely off of the mound for it to work, otherwise it's a balk. He is off the back of the pitching rubber.

PS, my team is 52-9 on the season and ranked #1 overall(with 3 first round picks and a .323 team BA).

I'm not going to get ahead of myself though, because we still have to beat a tough Arizona team tonight in Game 3. They just don't give up.

I was just giving LSU fans crap because they were bragging like they were gonna walk through the NCAA tournament completely unbeaten when that just doesn't ever happen.

I was just giving LSU fans crap because they were bragging like they were gonna walk through the NCAA tournament completely unbeaten when that just doesn't ever happen.Maybe that's just him IDK but I'd call this season a complete success with a trip to Omaha. Plain and simple.

LSU is dominating. Back-to-back-back homers in the 1st.

So Hollander goes to 3rd and the throw comes in the the 3rd baseman and he acts like he missed it to get Hollander or Mitchell to run to throw them out. Well both knew he caught it and this is Hollander saying something as the guy walks back. Read his lips, lol.

I can't believe that now we have to play either Fresno State or San Diego in our next game. I hope it is Fresno State just because I feel that San Diego is way more well-balanced. Screw teams like Miami and UNC with easy Regionals and Super Regionals.

Anyway, I'm sorry Tigers fans, but I don't see LSU winning against UC-Irvine. They are just way more experienced, but we'll see.

Man, my theory keeps on showing its true colors: All game officials, referees, umpires are in deep gambling debts. That call in the 9th in the Stanford/FSU game was clearly a fair ball and probably would have scored 2 but the dumb ass umpire called it foul. The ball hit the fricking line and threw up white chalk! What a jackass.

On a side note, Delmonico or whatever is playing like garbage today. I've seen 3 errors by him already, simply pathetic.

No, their wasn't but they shouldn't have got themselves in that type of situation to begin with.I know you didn't just say we didn't have a rally going. Because bases loaded with a clearly safe runner at 1st with a guy coming in to make it 8-5 with still an out who's pitcher we were hitting is a rally.

I said it earlier and I was right. If our starting pitching doesn't hold up we won't win. They didn't hit our bullpen.

BTW, check out how horrible of a call it was.
