Here's a quick and easy way to speed up your browser. I just did it and it works a lot better.
This should only be used if you use decent cable for your internet otherwise you won't get any benefit.
1-Type "about:config" in the address bar and press return
2- Find "network.http.pipelining" and set to true
3- Find "network.http.proxy.pipelining" and set to true
4- Find "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" and set to 8
5- Right click anywhere and select New -> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to 0.
