I don't know about you guys, but when I think scary, I usually don't think CB's or FS's...

Brian Dawkins?

But I get your point.

The lack of Gerald McRath on this list scares me.

Well they got #1 correct. Rey is downright nasty. I want him on the Niners. Right next to Willis.

Tyson Jackson will karate chop you if he isn't on that list.

My boy Greg Hardy, like to see him getting recognition. Tyson Jackson is really, really overrated on here in my opinion. He hasn't been that impressive at LSU, he maybe a good prospect but he hasn't stood out to me.

Hell I think Al Woods will be the scariest human on that line.

Going with the S or CB theme and the LSU theme. Chad Jones is a beastical - 6'3 220 lbs. and looks it and was running down McFadden like he was stuck in mollasses.

Measurable wise - very Sean Taylorish.

I don't think it would really be all that huge a stretch to say that during his sophomore, he was almost as disruptive as Glenn Dorsey (who was then a junior). The two players took drastically different steps in direction last season though. If Jackson can right the ship, he's definitely an intriguing prospect.

Putting together a list of college football's scariest defensive players isn't easy because scary has different definitions. Some may be physically imposing. Some are just athletically intimidating.

All I know is that Brandon Spikes is a Bad Bad man. I really wouldnt be suprised if he was a top 15 pick next year, it seems like not to many people are all that high on him. He is pretty much a straight G. (sorry he my boy)

Will be at least 5 times better than LaRon Landry.

Are you being serious? Wait, nevermind, I forgot we are talking about an LSU player so I won't get an opinion thats not homerific.

Speed-Jones
Big Hit-Landry
Ball skills-Jones
Tackling/Playing the run-Jones

Jones will be an overall better Safety than Landry was.

5 times better than Landry is certainly an overstatement. Landry was certainly an outstanding safety in college.

Thats like saying Al Woods will be 5 times the player Dorsey was, its just ludicrous. (although Woods is going to be a stud)

(although Woods is going to be a stud)People say Tyson Jackson is overrated but Woods has done NOTHING to this point. Couldn't even beat out Drake Nevis ( a true freshman) last year when Alexander and Favorite went down. Probably won't start this year.

Landry was great because he could hit hard and was good on the blitz. People were literally afraid of him. Jones can blitz just as well as Landry. Just can't hit as hard.

As good as Jones is, to say he will be 5x better than Landry is absurd.

Landry wasn't Landry until he was a Junior. Jones is a sophomore. Landry was a bit overrated coming out because of his power and big hit ability. As far as complete safety's go Jones will be an all around better one and better prospect imo.

3 People Missing From the List:

Taylor Mays, Kam Chancellor, and Everson Griffen.

Mays and Chanellor are both huge, fast and hit hard. Griffen is the new Gholston. 6'4 265 with 4.5 speed and he played great when he got his opportunities. I expect him to have a 10 sack seaon for USC.

I know he hasn't done anything since high school and I don't even know where he is now, but I'm still saying Willie Williams is one scary SOB.

I disagree with people saying CB can't be scary. Maybe I'm biased because my formative years were spent watching Charles Woodson do stuff like this (http://youtube.com/watch?v=z09R3uZinGs), but an interception is one of the most demoralizing and game-changing plays that can happen. When you get a good enough CB, every pass thrown their way is at risk of being taken back to the house. Teams get scared to even throw the ball to the CBs side of the field. When a defensive player gets so into the head of an opposing team that they give up trying to go at them, I'd say they're scary.

Ricky Jean Francois is a bad mutha.

Maybe it's just the interpretation of the word "scary". For me when I think scary I think Jason, Alien, and Rey Maualuga. Corners just aren't frightening to me. I could buy it if you were "afraid" of the impact they could have on the game, but in a one on one setting...nah.

I'm certainly not one of those Tiger fans that think that way. Laron Landry was not a Top 10 pick in the NFL for no reason. Laron Landry didn't start for 4 years on one of the best teams, if not the best team, of the century for no reason. I do love love love Chad Jones but he isn't better than Landry was at this point in their respective careers. Believe me, you won't find a bigger LSU fan than me. I have a fricking eye of the tiger tattoo if that means anything. But I do not believe Chad Jones will be better 5 times better than Laron Landry. Laron was an amazing DB for years and will prob be one of the best in the NFL very soon.

I won't comment on any other Tiger though, I've had to hear Sniper call me a homer too many times haha.
