MLB Franchise Draft

Anybody up for an MLB Franchise Draft? I want reliable and knowledgeable posters only so we can finish. Hopefully some judges too? It's going to be best team over a 5 year period so draft for now and later. You draft a full MLB Squad: all position players + a few bench, 5 SP, 2/3 LRP, 2/3 MRP, 1 SU, 1 CP. If it stays alive long enough we could discuss drafting a small minor league team with prospects. I'm open to all suggestions.

Please post if you want in. No offense to the new guys, but even if you post before someone who I know will be reliable, I am going to take them over you. I'm looking for about 9-11 guys to do this (10-12 including me).

Draft Order will be random. Please pick a city and a nickname. If you are good with photoshop/gimp/paint, making a logo would be sweet too.

Those numbers are do to his massive sucking at the beginning of the year. In May he hit .312 and had an OBP of .370. He also added 5 HR's and many project him to be a consistent 15-20 HR guy which is nice out of the leadoff spot. #1 might have been a bit early, but the guy can play.

Those are his numbers last year, AND this year too. The highest OBP he's ever has is .354. He's a great player, but not #1 pick.

Well yes, in terms of actual pitching, they are much different.

But in terms of prospect hype, they aren't that far apart. Everyone falls in love with Kershaw's hammer.. Yes, it is insanely good, but Scherzer has 2 great pitches and a 3rd one that will be above average in the ML.

I'd take Kershaw 9 times out of 10 simply because he's a lefty, but still, Scherzer will put up similar numbers in his career.

You could have gotten rid of another prospect if you wanted. It is clear that people are losing interest and I would like to get this finished. I didn't even suggest cutting it down, djp did. It was logical to cut off 2 bench and 2 prospects. Sorry, I don't know what else to say.
