Kansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Thursday that the club has agreed to terms of a three-year contract with CB Brandon Carr. As per Chiefs policy, no other terms of the agreement were made available.

He saw action in 49 contests (41 starts) at Grand Valley State, posting 206 tackles (147 solo), 11 interceptions and 39 passes defended. During his time at Grand Valley, he helped compile a record of 50-4 and a pair of NCAA Division ll national championships.

Carr opened all 13 contests for the Lakers in 2007, recording 45 tackles (33 solo), two Interceptions and deflected 13 passes. He garnered first-team All-America honors from The NFL Draft Report, as well as being named the Defensive Back of the Year by the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Yeah, rumor was that Herm was in love with this kid before the draft. He looked really good during the OTA fan day. He picked off a pass and looked sharp.

I think he might end up being our nickel back for now and maybe starting once Surtain retires.

From what I understand it will be Surtain and Flowers starting but when we play nickel Flowers will play the nickel with Carr out side but its still early.
