In the midst of an epic IRC battle right now, whose musical taste reigns supreme?

That of a pre-pubescent 14 year old Ohio Boy named BrownsTown

Bands:

Oasis
The Killers
The Fratellis
The Clash
The Who
Weezer
Queen
Led Zeppelin
Blur
Gorillaz

or that of an awesome sex machine from Buffalo?

Streetlight Manifesto
Violent Femmes
The Smiths
The Cure
Talking Heads
Roger Clyne And The Peacemakers
Bomb The Music Industry!
Arrogant Sons Of Bitches
Sublime
Less Than Jake

I disagree with the fairness of this poll.

BTW fisch has no life.

I'll take the lineup of:

Streetlight Manifesto
The Smiths/Cure Dance Party
RC and the Peacemakers
Sublime
The Who
Weezer
Led Zeppelin
Queen

Too close. But always side with ska. And Buffalo.

Though fisch has some GREAT bands, as a whole, who is really competing with The Who, Queen and Led Zeppelin?

I voted for BT as well. Although I don't like all the bands on either teams, I like more on BT's team.

The Cure and the Smiths are awesome but....

Queen, The Killers, and Weezer were enough to take it for me.

not exactly my chosen genre of music here but out of those that ive heard and liked, gotta go with BT

Led Zep alone got BT the win. The Who and Queen were just Icing on the Cake.

Now a group of bands that rocks all those bands

Pink Floyd
Children of Bodom
Megadeth
Iron Maiden
Judas Priest
In Flames
Black Sabbath
Slayer
Motorhead
System of A Down

That list alone beats out both of those lists...although I must say Led Zep and Queen pack a powerful punch.

My list that left off every band they already chose which I discussed on IRC was

Radiohead
Velvet Underground
Nirvana
Damien Rice
Our Lady Peace
David Bowie
Metallica
Scorpions
The Rolling Stones
Pink Floyd

Pretty sure I would have won with these bands

Half of both your lists are good and have suck wet monkey taint. BT's sucks less even though I dislike him more.

Your list is more consistent than both of theirs so i think you would beat them both bwuahahha

I wouldn't listen to a single band on either list other than The Smiths so... my vote is obvious...

Queen, Led Zepp, The Who, The Clash, how can that be beat?

Brent

I dont like either list but I went with BT because I dig The Clash.

Really. Fratellis ruins it. But trying to beat the clash, who, zep, queen with the smiths and the cure is like... not gonna happen.

weezer is also totally out of place. too brit heavy. BT ***** it up.

Pink Floyd
Tantric

I'll give you Wu but rage? Tell me you also rock the Che T-shirts you little rebel. I like Rage but they're very over-rated for being "radical".

they put on a fantastic show. i mean. honestly, in a larger live setting. for a battle of bands. 311 and Rage were two of the best i've ever seen. I don't rock the che shirt (that often).

They're good musicians, write good songs, and geez, if they weren't so darn inflammatory and passionate they wouldn't be great. their radicalness leads to their passion (and if not real passion, very well contrived passion)

Contrived passion is pointless unless there's some goal they can achieve, Rage is just anti-establishment to be anti-establishment yeah I rock out to them when they get played at after parties, but that's more the alcohol than my actual musical tastes.
