You have to choose one non-QB to play QB for your team. Who would you take?

Byrd430
06-10-2008, 09:12 PM
Well, I think you gotta take a college quarterback converted to a new position in the NFL..

I liked Antwaan Randle-El at Indiana, so I'll take him above Matt Jones.

TheGreatEscape

Brandon Jacobs He's huge so he'll see the field well and have an arm once you teach him to throw.

Devin ******* Hester.

put Mike Vike to shame.....who cares if he can even throw, just put 10 blockers and Hester out there, and have him run QB draws the whole game. Maybe 9 blockers, Hester and a good option running back.....

Every play would have serious highlight reel potential

He's actually got a pretty big arm, it should be interesting to see how Zorn can incorporate this into the offense.

i mean, and i say this in a completely serious way, absolutely nothing that happens should they try that can really be worse that what theyve had recently......

everyone would tune in to see those games, am i wrong? hester, some speed backs and some big blockers run around like maniacs for a little while, maybe they score or something, and then the D comes out.

I would probably take Brad Smith...he was one of those guys who could have caught on as a backup QB somewhere.

As far as non former QBs go I might actually go D-Mac, he was great when they occasionally used him at QB in college.

He doesn't put Vick to shame. Vick was just like Hester. He might not run a 4.25 but no one on the field had the same speed and quickness. Vick even makes Hester look slow. Too bad he was a lazy dogfighter, otherwise he could have done some big things.

Back on topic: From the Falcons? I'd have to say Joey Harrington. His play isn't deserving of calling him a quarterback.

Very true, which is why Morelli isn't in the NFL right now... I meant that his play for a QB wouldn't translate theat well in the NFL, which is why it was smart for him to be moved to RB.

Out of the former college QB's it has to be MRob.

For the best of the rest, I'll take a Dark Horse - Michael Bush. He was a fantastic high school QB, and met Brian Brohm's team in the Kentucky State championship game. He threw for 468 yards and six touchdowns, running for 116 yds and another score in a narrow 59-56 defeat. Stud.

Got to be different, how about Hunter Smith, the Colts' punter. He was originally recruited by ND as a QB, and he has a set of wheels on him, he's ran down punt returners multiple times.
