Devin Brown Unrestricted FA
NBA Team: Cavaliers
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: $2.5 million - 1 year - $2.5 million
Exemption Used: Bird Rights
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: Playing time. He's always got a place on this team as he cal play defense and is one of few others who can create his shot.
Status: Rejected - To qualify as a Bird free agent, a player must have played three seasons without being waived or changing teams as a free agent.
09/27/07: The Cleveland Cavaliers signed free agent Devin Brown to a contract.

Daniel Gibson Restricted FA
NBA Team: Cavaliers
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: $3 million - 4 years - $12 million
Exemption Used: Early Bird Rights
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: He's a fan favorite and a favorite of LeBrons. Will always have playing time as he is the best shooter on the team.
Status: Accepted

Delonte West Restricted FA
NBA Team: Cavaliers
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: $3 million - 2 years - $6 million
Exemption Used: Bird Rights
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: Will be the first guard off the bench, if he's not starting at PG. Can play both PG and SG effectively as well as shoot and play defense so won't lose minutes.
Status: Accepted

Desagana Diop Unrestricted FA
NBA Team: Cavaliers
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: 1.5 million a year - 2 years - 3 million
Exemption Used: Part of the MLE
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: Former Cav who was a fan favorite while here. Brings energy to the game without the selfishness that Anderson Varejao brings.

Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: 3.75 million - 2 years - 7.5 million
Exemption Used: The rest of the MLE
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: Mike Brown has a history with the spurs and Michael Finley fits what the Cavs are looking for in a SG that can create his own shot. At his age would be hard to find a contract for longer than 2 years and at age 35 3.75 million a year is nothing to sneeze at.
Status: Accepted

NBA Team: Knicks
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Offer $5.36 million 4 yrs 21.44 total

Status: Accepted

James Posey
NBA Team: Dallas Mavericks
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: $5.0mill - 3 Years - 15.0 Million
Exemption Used: MLE
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team:
Offering more money, then what the he can make if he does pick up his option with the Celts($3,462,480). He's proven to be more then capable player on a contending team. He will still be part of a champiship contender, but will most likely be the starter for Mavs, allowing Stackhouse to come off the bench. Like the Artest addition, he is a tenacious defender and a great spot up shooter, as the Mavericks go in a new direction.
Status: Accepted

Michael Finley
NBA Team: Dallas Mavericks
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: $1.672 mill - 1 Year - $1.672
Exemption Used: LLE

Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: $1.1 mill - 1 Year - $1.1
Exemption Used: Minimum Salary Exception/Veterans minimum (10+ years in the league)

Status: Accepted

Gordon Giricek
NBA Team: Phoenix Suns
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: Salary Per Year - ?
Exemption Used: LLE
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: A chance to win a championship, familiarity with the team.
Status: Accepted

Dorell Wright
NBA Team: Milwaukee Bucks
Is your team over the cap: Y
Signing Offer Sheet: $6 million - 5 years - $30 million total

Michael Finley
NBA Team: Boston Celtics

Exemption Used: MLE
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team:
Chance to be a roll player on a possible defending champion that is taking a shot at another championship. He'll have a better shot of winning it in Boston then going back to San Antonio or Dallas or Pheonix. He will offer the Celtics versatility as a guy that can play the 2 and 3 and if needed the 4.
Status: Rejected - The MLE isn't a 1 year deal

Team: Chicago Bulls
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: Shannon Brown
Salary Per Year - 2,000,000 Number of Years - 2 Total Salary - 4,000,000

Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: Right now is our franchise player, likes playing here and gets a new big contract.
Status: Accepted

Signing Offer Sheet : Chris Duhon
Salary Per Year - 4,000,000 Number of Years - 2 Total Salary - 8,000,000
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: Likes playing in Chicago and can still develop into a starting PG over the next 2 years then cash in big in FA.
Status: Accepted

Player: James Jones
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: 1 years/$4 Million
Exemption Used: N/A
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team:
He had success here last year and would be a valuable roleplayer off the bench again.
Status: Accepted

Shaun Livingston
NBA Team: Orlando Magic
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: 5 years, 6M

Status: Pending

Maurice Evans
NBA Team: Orlando Magic
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: 3 years, 2M per
Exemption Used: N/A
Reason: Evans is happy in Orlando and he's a good fit. League minimum offer.
Status: Accepted

Keyon Dooling
NBA Team: Orlando Magic
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: 3 years, 3M per
Exemption Used: Bird Rights
Reason: Orlando is able to go over the cap to spend on Dooling because they own his Bird rights.
Status: Accepted

Patrick O'Bryant
NBA Team: New Jersey Nets
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: 3 years, 8 mil
Exemption Used: N/A
Reason: He's got talent and potential and is a fairly athletic center. Diop will most likely require too steep a price tag for us. O'Bryant would compete with Boone and possibly Nenad for the C spot in our frontcourt rotation
Status: Accepted

Andris Biendrins
NBA Team: Seattle Sonics
Is your team over the cap: N
Signing Offer Sheet: $6,125,512 - 5 - $30,627,560
Exemption Used: N/A
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: Biedrins is unhappy not getting as much playing time as he expects to get, and it's no secret that Nelson likes a line-up 1-5 that can score, which Biedrins really isn't. For a pay raise, Biedrins will be allowed to go to a team that he'd be the unquestioned starting Center, still playing in an up-tempo offense that'd continue to allow him to flourish. Plus, he'd get to stay on the west coast where he's comfortable.
Status: Pending

A fan favorite while he was with the Mavs. Prototypical hustle player, who rebounds and who can play both foward positions.
Accepted

Accepted

Darrell Armstrong, PG: 1 year, MLE
We need depth and experience at the PG position just trading away Marcus. He'll get more minutes and will be able to teach Devin and perhaps a rookie PG.
Accepted

Salim Stoudamire, SG: 2 years, 1.5 mil
He'd be a total spark plug off the bench. Great shooter we need who'll get minutes with right now, a depleted bench. Nets haven't had a 3 point shooter like this in a while. He'd be a great fit.
Pending, Atlanta has 1 day to match

NBA Team: New Orleans Hornets

He will be the first sub coming off the bench that would have the potential to start depending on the team the Hornets were facing. Another high scorer who can create his own shots, he would be a valuable asset to have on the court along with Chris Paul and David West.
Pending: RFA, Atlanta has 1 day to match.

Exemption Used: Early Bird Rights
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: Absolutely loved by the Lakers and Lakers fans and he loves them back. He looks like a great bench player at the moment, but in case he improves into something more, the contract will be short enough for him to earn a pay raise.

Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: Stability for once in his life. 8 teams over the course of your career wears on you and your young family.
Accepted

The Sacramento Kings would like to sign Jose Calderon using the MLE.
This is a young team that battled in the west and was four games under .500. They improved this offseason by adding Anthony Randolph and Josh Howard, to add to the budding all star Kevin Martin and the great bench depth they have. He's the missing piece for the Kings to make a serious run at the playoffs next year and stay there for the next 5
Pending: Toronto has a day to match

Player: Antawn Jamison, SF/PF, Unrestricted Free Agent
NBA Team: Detroit Pistons
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: $6 Million - 3 Years - $18 Million Total
Exemption Used: MLE
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: I'd make him my starting PF. If he signs, I'll possibly be moving Kevin Love to a Backup Center spot for now.. Antawn would be an important piece of a revamped Pistons team that still has a shot at contending.
Rejected: Offer too low

Player: Anthony Carter, PG, Unrestricted Free Agent
NBA Team: Detroit Pistons
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: $1.1 Million - 1 Year - $1.1 Million Total
Exemption Used: Veterans Minimum
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: Backup insurance for Billups and Stuckey. Solid role player.
Accepted

Player: Bonzi Wells, SG/SF, Unrestricted Free Agent
NBA Team: Detroit Pistons
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: $2.6 Million - 2 Years - $5.2 Million Total
Exemption Used: Part of the MLE
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: Important backup player, was originally drafted by the Pistons. He'd get his minutes off the bench.
Accepted

Player: Nenad Krstic, C, Unrestricted Free Agent
NBA Team: Detroit Pistons
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: $2 Million - 2 Years - $4 Million Total
Exemption Used: Part of the MLE
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: He'd be our only player with the size of an actual center. He'll get plenty of minutes off the bench and could crack the starting lineup on this team that's lacking good size.
Pending: Nets have 1 day to match

Mickael Pietrus
NBA Team: Charlotte Bobcats
Is your team over the cap: N
Signing Offer Sheet: $5,000,000 - 4 years - $20,000,000
Exemption Used: N/A
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: He would immediately become the backup at SF, probably playing around 15 minutes a night and becoming a valuable scoring opportunity off the bench.
Accepted

Earl Barron
NBA Team: Charlotte Bobcats
Is your team over the cap: N
Signing Offer Sheet: $3,500,000 - 2 years - $7,000,000
Exemption Used: N/A
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: Could earn the backup spot at PF behind Rasheed, and knowing how Rasheed usually obtains a good amount of fouls, could probably see more minutes.
Accepted

Lindsey Hunter
NBA Team: Orlando Magic
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: Veteran's Minimum
Exemption Used: N/A
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: Hunter accepts the only offer he got on an up and coming team. With Shaun Livingston still injured, Hunter could find decent playing time. Most of all, he feels the appreciation from the Magic for pursuing him. The Magic love his leadership and need him to cultivate the young PGs on the roster.
Accepted

Ricky Davis
NBA Team: Orlando Magic
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: Veteran's Minimum
Exemption Used: N/A
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: Davis won't have to move far to find his new home. The depth is young at both SG and SF and Davis sees the opportunity to find playing time there while being on an up and coming team. With the direction the Magic have of getting tougher, Davis feels it's a great fit for his style of play.
Accepted

NBA Team: Chicago Bulls
Is your team over the cap: Yes
Signing Offer Sheet: J.R. Smith
Salary Per Year - Number of Years - Total Salary: $7,500,000 - 4 years, - $30,000,000
Exemption Used: MLE
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team:
He was here briefly but now we have a whole new coaching staff. He would get the starting job over Hughes easily and would get the opportunity to play alongside Derrick Rose, who wouldn't want that.
Accepted

Josh Smith
NBA Team: Atlanta Hawks
Is your team over the cap: N
Signing Offer Sheet: $6 million - 5 years - $30 million total
Exemption Used: MLE
Reason why he'd sign with you versus any other team: He is the future of the Hawks and the team will continue to build around him and put pieces together for him to suceed.
