Nothing beats celebrating your nation's birth by being forced to spend it in a rotten craphole of a foreign country

Maybe you can shoot an Iraqi and that will be your version of Black cats and bottle rockets.

Well maybe you shouldn't have joined the military if that's how you feel ;)

At this point, not to start a flame war, but I'd like to point out that joining the Army is indeed voluntary, and does indeed come with a paycheck.

Good morning. In less than an hour, aircraft from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in the history of mankind. "Mankind." That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the Fourth of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom... Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: "We will not go quietly into the night!" We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!

I went to the most mexican laser light parade ever last night. They called it a laser light parade but the most lights I saw were from a go cart that had Christmas lights on them. I think the only thing you needed to be in the parade was a car with neon lights on them. It was that or a truck with a trailer on the back with no decorations at all. It was like one big advertisement for people in office because every candidate had a trailer with people waving on them. There were no floats or anything. There were even people singing Mexican music on some of the trucks. Its America's birthday, not Mexico's.

Shouldn't this thread be titled "Happy 4th of July aka: Independence Day!"? IE would be like.. for example.. I don't think Independence Day is an example of the 4th of July.

I'm just sayin..

reminds me of the time I went to the new england metal festival in Worcester, MA. There was this guy riding around the street on a bicycle with a radio playing. He was waving around glow sticks and throwing snap pop things.
