Todays Match-up

Cookies:

http://trashmenagerie.com/images/CCC/Cookie.jpg

Cookie History/Stats: In the United States and Canada, a cookie is a small, flat baked dessert. In most English-speaking countries outside North America, the most common word for this is biscuit; in many regions both terms are used, while in others the two words have different meanings—a cookie is a plain bun in Scotland[1], while in the United States a biscuit is a kind of quick bread not unlike a scone.

Versus

Brownies:

http://piesandbass.files.wordpress.com/2007/12/brownies1.jpg

Brownie History/Stats: A chocolate brownie, also known as a brownie, Bangor brownie or Boston brownie, is a small, rich, chocolate baked cake-slice, named after its brown color.

Brownies may contain dairy ingredients and nuts, particularly walnuts. Modern brownies often have an icing, popular flavors being either vanilla or mint extract. A variation of the traditional brownie made without chocolate, or with white chocolate, is called a blondie.

Rules:

1. Pick one.

2. It is a strictly a Chocolate Chip Cookie vs a Chocolate Brownie. No changing or adding ingredients. So sorry DG, you can not choose a M&M/Chocolate Chip/Whip Cream Cookie and noooo CCB, no "special" brownies for you.

3. Milk is allowed, a limit of one glass per customer.

4. Enjoy.

And it isn't even close.

I am petitioning to be allotted a full gallon of milk though. One glass is not enough.

I'm going to have to go with cookies if it's right out of the oven. However, if longevity comes into play or the cookies are no longer warm, I think I might have to go brownies. Nothing like a chocolate chip cookie right out of the oven though...

Rob S
07-09-2008, 02:45 PM
okay....here is my position. this is NOT a cut and dry question.

A cookie at its best, in my opinion, beats a peak brownie. A warm cookie cooked to perfection with a crunchy outside and a gooey, soft middle is impossible to beat imo. As far as the averages of each type go.....I think the brownie wins out. I enjoy a so-so brownie more than a so-so cookie.

Its a dead heat!!! When does this poll close? Who will pull it out? Will it be the world's past time chocolate chip cookies, or the up-and-coming brownie? Only time will tell as we enter into this day that will forever change the history of world culture!!!

terribletowel39
07-10-2008, 10:57 AM
If it is still tied up when it closes, I say the tie breaker is we add everyone's rep number together on each side and whoever is highest, wins.

I only say that because I saw that comahan voted brownies and brownies are better.
