In terms of football,

I really like diabs team, but MetSox, despite its play for now type of status got my vote. The depth all the way through. Texas and Florida, good at the present. ND, UCLA, A&M, Louisville, Pitt, G. Tech and Colorado all have some history. I like it.

All sports but mostly football.

Here it is...

Objective: To build a "powerhouse" football conference.

Rules
You have to pick at least one team from each of the BIG conferences (ACC, Big East, Big 10, Big 12, Pac 10, SEC).
You will have to select at least one mid-major.
The draft will be 14 rounds.
When selecting your team, please state which conference they are from.
I'm looking for 5-7 reliable posters.

Team Diabsoule:
LSU (SEC)
Michigan (Big 10)
Oklahoma (Big 12)
Boston College (ACC)
California (Pac 10)
Arkansas (SEC)
Oregon State (Pac 10)
TCU (MWC)
Fresno St (WAC)
UConn (Big East)
Central Michigan (MAC)
Southern Miss (C-USA)

Let's break down this team:

LSU - Is the only team to win two BCS National Championships. Has been a contender every year and has built a very strong foundation for many years to come.

Michigan - One of the most storied programs in football history. The program has produced numerous Heisman winners and candidates. Traditional contender and finished up last season strong.

Oklahoma - Another program who has a very storied history. Bob Stoops has built the program and has made them a contender every year.

Boston College - This team is no push over and plays every one tough.

California - Another tough program who plays every tough. May not always be flashy but their just a very solid program.

Arkansas - Another tough SEC school that will only get better with Bobby Petrino coaching them.

Oregon State - Another solid program from the Pac 10 that can cause upsets on a yearly basis.

TCU - A very solid, tough school to play against. Has produced one of the best NFL running backs in LaDainian Tomlinson.

Fresno State - Will play anyone, anywhere, any time. Has the most upsets over BCS schools. Almost upset USC a few years ago.

UConn - An emerging program who surprised everyone last year.

Central Michigan - Have one two back-to-back MAC Championships. Has one of the best dual-threat QB's in the nation in Dan LeFevour.

Southern Miss - A solid program that traditionally does very well. They should only get better with the spread offense being installed in Hattiesburg. Has produced an NFL great QB in Brett Favre.

How could you not vote for this conference?
