Cowboys | Babineaux may be a target in free agency
Tue, 27 Feb 2007 14:42:07 -0800
Clarence E. Hill Jr., of Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports the Dallas Cowboys may be interested in Seattle Seahawks S Jordan Babineaux, who becomes a restricted free agent March 2. Babineaux is considered one of the best safeties on the market and might be interested in coming back to his home state.
RFA? What would we have to give up?

This scares me. He's not the solution at FS. Is he gonna be a back up for Roy?

I'm assuming we are looking for a vet to place next to Watkins. I still wish we could steal Sharper away from MN.

Elam is Roy's backup. and If your looking to throw a vet in front of Watkins look no further than Henry.

Babineaux can play both SS and CB, and is solid at both. His cover skills are ok, but when you need a big play, he'll deliver. Just ask Dallas. He's gotten 'em twice.

He was tendered. We'd have to give up a 1st rounder and 3rd rounder to get him. Phew... he's outta the question... I DID NOT want him.
