* BREAKING NEWS: Bucs Sign Alstott To 1-Year Deal
-----------------------------------------------------
TAMPA The A-Train will run through Tampa once more in 2007.

Fullback Mike Alstott, arguably the most popular player in Bucs history, agreed to return to the team Thursday after signing a one-year contract, sources with knowledge of the deal told The Tampa Tribune.

Details of the contract were not immediately known. However, it is likely he agreed to a deal worth approximately $1.5 million.

What are your thoughts?

Too much money for a Public Relations move.

Alstott has very little value on the field, and deserved no more than the vet minimum. But in saying that, he is one of my all time favourite players, and I would have hated to see him in another uniform.

I still hope that the Bucs go after a blocking FB in free agency (Justin Griffith would be perfect).

If its anything more then Vet minimum I think it is a waste. But I think that figure (1.5mil) is just speculation by the media anyway.

He might actually have an impact in 2 games. At least this temporarily fills a hole so now people can stop giving us Leonard in mock drafts.

He played decent down the stretch, so not a horrible move.
