The Titans have agreed to terms on a contract extension for cornerback Cortland Finnegan, a deal that will keep him under contract through the 2011 season, according to the player’s agent.

Finnegan, one of the team’s rising young stars, is headed into just his third NFL season.

His new contract is worth roughly $17 million over the next four seasons, and it includes roughly $8.5 million in guaranteed money. He’ll receive a $6 million signing bonus, and a $500,000 base salary for 2008.

A 7th round draft pick to a $17 million contract in 3 years. This guy is a beast and is emerging as a great CB in this league. He deserves it.

I'm pretty sure most of the people on here know who he is and his skill level. It's the casual fans who wouldn't know anything about him. I do think he'll eventually be a pro bowler though.

Definitely. He's already a stud and he's only gonna improve.
