Hey All, I think it's about time to love the bad guy. We've had them before and we've loved them before. Smitty got out to a bad start with us (maybe that's an understatement). One thing is for sure, he's the tough guy on a soft secondary. We need someone besides Ty 'Shotgun' Carter to show some aggression out there in the secondary. No doubt Troy lets his game speak volumes and that is the best way, but you can't tell me that the DB's haven't grown fond of the young head busta. At the least, he takes our soft secondary up a notch. He's got some growing to do but if the coaches do their jobs he will win over the Steeler Nation. We'll be laughing about his predictions and high-stepping incidents years from now. And as far as hitting too hard in practice, anyone who's played can attest to this... if you play hard in practice your gameplay had better be harder. The guys around you are all watching and that's going to work in Smitty's favor.
Go get em Smitty

No way he doesn't make the team. I wanted Mundy to bump Carter off the roster but thats unlikely after his injury.

1st of all...Good job makin' a thread "IN" support of A. Smith, he gets lots of bad publicity!
2nd...he never really gauranteed a victory against the Patriots...I wish people would actually listen to the interview...he said"..if we play a perfect game, we will win...".OF COURSE we'd win if we played a perfect game! he was baited and he fell for it! that's his only crime...is being immature!
the thing we can complain about...is that his immaturity seems to still be there?
but in the last game...he seemed liked the only one near the ball!
...this is how the NFL works...as long as you show progression, you'll make it!
Have we seen enough progression from Anthony Smith to think that he can make it in the NFL, let alone as a Steeler?
