How many games off does he get from Goodell?

For this I'd hope nothing other than a fine...

Zero. That's pretty much as serious as a traffic ticket.

The Jaguars are quickly turning into Bengals South

You don't go to court for a traffic ticket, and Goodell loves to crack the whip on the players...

He won't get anything.

Wishful thinking from a Colts fan

The Colts usually beat the Jaguars Taylor or not, so why would I be concerned with whether or not he's playing? Goodell loves to crack the whip on players, and he got arrested and is going to court. Sounds like something that could fall under the conduct policy.

Eh, the Jags play at Indianapolis in Week 3. Not Week 1.

If Taylor was suspended, it wouldn't be more than one game.

However I don't think Taylor should be suspended at all. He's not a repeat offender. A fine, okay.

I don't think much will come of this.

How many times does Goodell suspend first time offenders? Fred Taylor doesn't repeatedly get into trouble, this is the first I know of, and it wasn't even a serious issue...Don't tell me Marshawn Lynch gets involved in a hit and run and gets off but Taylor gets suspended, its not even a chance of him missing a game.

Dominic Rhodes got 4 games last year for a DUI, his first offense.

This is my biggest problem with Fuhrer Goodell's personal conduct policy. There's no consistency at all. Just him waving his magic wand.

I doubt if anything will come of it, either. It's a first time offense, and not serious at all. It's a drunk in public arrest.

I wanted to +rep this, it wouldn't let me. Completely true though.

It pisses me off dude. There's no way Rhodes should have been suspended four games for a first time DUI, while Jared Allen (a repeat offender) gets his knocked down to just two games.

Consistency would be nice. Sticking to the old policies would've been nicer. I miss Tags.

According to Fred's agent, he wasn't arrested. Just got a ticket.

Per rotoworld:

According to his agent, Fred Taylor was not arrested at a Miami nightclub incident early Saturday.
Said his agent, "It’s nothing more than a ticket. . . . He was never formally arrested, never booked, didn’t post a bond and he has not been charged with anything. We’re pretty confident obviously that he won’t be charged with anything." It sounds minor enough not to get in Taylor's way of playing this season. Aug. 30 - 10:08 pm et

I was going to post this about him, but it didnt seem too serious for it to be a thread. Again, he wont be punished.

I've got a few of these, it sounds like drunk and disorderly or failure to obey instruction or something similar.
