I don't think we are going to make a big splash in free agency, which is alright, we don't need to overpay for an old vet at this point/

Ramsey will be cut within twenty four hours, as he's due a roster bonus tomorrow.

yaa im hoping that we can get something out of him...hes fairly young, great arm...but i have a feeling that everyone knows that hes gonna cut so they prolly feel theres no reason to give anything up to get him

According to Rotoworld the Jets were in the market to trade for Joey Porter, but backed out assuming he would just be cut. Apparently the Steelers were asking for a lot. We'll see who the Jets choose to seek, whether it be Adalius Thomas or Porter. I like Thomas more because I think Porter benefitted a lot from being in Dick Lebeau's blitzburg packages, and being he is the fastest guy in the box, he got their first. He's not an edge rusher though just because he puts up sack numbers.

Gimme Thomas, a proven sackman who has played 4-3 end before.

Awesome stuff so far, add Nate Clements in their and or or an LB of some form, and it's a very successful off-season thus far..

I've heard we are the darkhorse for Leonard Davis. We could move him to RT if we get him.

Brian Leonard anyone? Leron McClain? Who would you rather have, Leonard at 2b or McLain in the 5th?

it looks like we'll be keeping kimo and releasing mccareins but its not official yet....
The Jets will pay DE Kimo Von Oelhoffen his $600,000 roster bonus due today and he'll remain with the team, according to his agent, Mark Bartelstein. Von Oelhoffen recorded just 28 tackles and a sack in 16 games last season. ... Pennington has received his roster bonus ($2 million). ... The signing of WR Jerricho Cotchery to an extension means veteran WR Justin McCareins will likely by released. He is due to earn $3 million in 2007.

Thats a really interesting question. Leonard at 2b is pretty good value for him, McClain in the 5th would be nice as well. If we're taking somebody as a fullback I'll take McClain, better pure FB. If we intend to give them carries and play as a hybrid RB/FB, I'll take Leonard.

it depends on whose available at 2b, if leonard is by far the best available at 2b than leonard, if not than mclain....also, we could sign one in free agency, maybe justin griffith becuase hes a good recieving FB and we all know penningont loves to just dump it off
