Meh, he's the backup so no biggie. I'm more dissappointed that we're losing Ingle Martin to KC.

I would'nt be surprised if he took the job and ran with it. Vince would really be emo then.

Eh. I like his talent, but he doesn't have enough time to take the starting job. If VY is out for longer than thought, maybe Simms can grasp the offense and take over for Collins. He deserves a starting chance.

Lose one Texas QB, sign another. So goes the ancient philosophy of the Titans.

Eventually Collins is going to have to retire, he is 35 already. It makes good sense to bring in someone to have around and begin to learn the system. Lets remember that when he had taken over the starters role in Tampa he did alright. Definitely a back up to Kerry and Vince, unless VY takes longer then anticipated.

Yeah, I've wanted us to keep around a younger 3rd stringer to take over when Collins retires. This was pretty much an essential signing especially since KC signed away Ingle Martin.

I agree with everything said. The Simms signing was a necessary move after losing Martin to KC, Vince's issues, and Collins's age.
